E/S-Dan, please don't forget to update the AR round when it moves forward on your next action. that will help our new guy see that NP powers are available to be active again (Eric, this is shown by pulling off their small activation marker from the active player large marker) at beginning of my log I put putting E-S there on active player and I think it should stay on E-S through this game turn to show who is First player at all times. i always have to check that in games where we keep changing the active player marker to the next guy's faction and there is no need to change it to active player each time since we ping the next person up anyways, plus there is a vassal log showing who just went. |

That just leaves Dan and Es. Eric the process for all decisions of non player powers is lowest VP then tie breaker but certain powers may never decide for certain ones (Rome never decides for Volsci no matter her VP, Greeks never decide for Carthage, and Gauls can’t for T-Gaul). The last caveat is that anyone allied with those powers on the list are also removed from being able to decide for the non’s so long as they are allied |

Should be 3" The BGG reference has no mention of Messana, plus I already announced all the starting loyalty levels in log 17. |

Eric, the Greeks are one of the easier, if not the easiest, powers for a new player. The usual path for Greek VPs is against Carthage, a neutral power, unlike the powers who need to fight another player. So, Greek players can usually concentrate most of their forces against Carthage while maintaining a smaller force on Italy to keep the other players honest, particularly the Romans. Greek loyalty is the one important thing to maintain, as mercenary leaders require a constant "upkeep" of loyalty to keep Greek leaders on the board. As the name of this game is Sword of Rome (and not Sword of Greece or Sword of Etruscans), note there is a Roman event that can pick up a free VP spot from both the Samnites (Fregellae) and the Greeks (Thurii). Since all the other Greek VP spots are walled cities, it's easy to ignore Thurii. Don't. Our Greek player won our previous abbreviated game, so you can also ask him (Dan). |

i'm fine being the owner Rod. You as teh Gauls win all ties so you decide first player. Also, i believe it is either Messana or Tarentum that needs +1 loyalty. it's a vassal screw up from 1st edition map. i can look for BGG thread on another log file if need be. |
