116 11/28/2018 5:02:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message I don't think I do you much good as an opponent, but you're helping me. You wanna try again, or are you sick of kicking my backside?
115 11/28/2018 5:00:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message I think you needed to add another 10 SW for Kentucky....

:-)
114 11/28/2018 4:58:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message I learnt a lot from the drubbing. I thank you for that. The last move spread is a powerful thing for the Rebs. Without mobility it is difficult to contain and if the limited strikes the Union can make don't work then it is near impossible.

I laugh when I look at the '62 setup reflecting what many consider a poor and slow start to the war by the Union. Gawd, you'd need some good luck to emulate it in FtP. Not just the mobility but the immobility of the Rebs.

In hindsight there are things I would've done differently, obviously. But your play was spot on. The decision to use the MC for the fort was inspired after what followed. Very clever. I needed one more activation with the AotC and considered ops q'ing 2 x 1's. The problem however was two supply runs into the north were threatening and I didn't have the capacity or movement to defend / dismantle both.
113 11/28/2018 3:51:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Yeah I kind of had a perfect storm of things cards and dice and whatnot.
112 11/28/2018 3:45:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message I think that's it. Enough. The North sues for peace.

Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. If a general casualty occurs in a battle caused by this card, the Commanding General is eligible, this is an exception to the rules. See 4.5.

105 11/28/2018 4:33:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Message You may resolve. I would've got to Bloomington if it wasn't for 2 x 1's.

Thus far the lesson learnt is a no luck with the cards is really bad for the Union. No luck with the dice on top makes it impossible.

80 11/25/2018 10:21:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message IF you'll allow it, I have another strat move. My intention was to create an Army in Cinc under Pope. But having re-read rule 5.22 it would end up under Halleck. Now understanding this I'd move 5 sp to Washington OH and then put Pope there.

The entire logic is that I've already experienced enough problems in this and the last game trying to move the AoP under a 3 General. I can't afford having two Armies competing for the cards. Thus the idea of a "2" Army.
