86 2/3/2019 8:27:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Here's what I found:

1. See entry #69, Fall 1861. Pope takes command of AoT, causing a -2sw penalty. There's no shortage of generals of higher political rank than Pope.

2. Yes, that's correct. I tend to forget about the special abilities.

3. We forgot about Mac's SW bonus. At the time, USA SW was 100-. So that would have been +5sw +2cof =107+. Of course, later you would pay a -3cof penalty, so the net value is +4sw. USA SW should be 97- right now. Make sense?

Also, you still need to discard a card from last turn's Choctaw Indians.
85 2/3/2019 3:33:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Let me research those points.
84 2/3/2019 2:20:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message Union Reinforcements
DC: 8 SPs (n10)
Bloomington: 6 SP (n6)
Cairo: 4 SP (n5)
Manassas: 1 SP (n6) Per Rule 5.67A(2)

A few notes:

1. Prior to the war weariness hit I was tracking Union SW at 100-, not 98-. I skimmed the journal to see if there were any events that altered Union morale, but didn't see any. Replacing McDowell with McClellan didn't cost me any SW. I had the card that let me remove McDowell for free, and Mac has the highest political rating, so there was no loss of SW there. Where did lose 2 SW?

2. Per the tournament website (I double checked), all optional rules are in effect EXCEPT for railroad logistics. Rule 5.67 gives some special abilities to McClellan, Van Dorn, & Forrest.

3. One thing I missed earlier is that the Union gets a one-time 5 SW bonus when McClellan is placed in command of an Army within 4 spaces of the Union capital. Union SW should be 98- or 100- depending upon how we resolve item 1, above.

32 12/26/2018 3:11:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message I hope you had a good holiday.

The size of the retreating force is capped by the normal command limitations (in this case 6SP, as a corps) Beauregard can only retreat with 6 SP and one other general. That will leave 3SP in Manassas.
