163 1/1/2019 4:38:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message The Confederate leadership acknowledges the folly of attacking Washington, especially as they didn't notice the River of Potomac before standing at the brinks

The entire leadership has been ordered back to school to study geography and are thus not able to fight on

Game Over - new game coming up :-)
162 12/31/2018 4:25:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message I'm pretty sure that will be it...i dont think you'll be able to actually take DC...the battle charts indicate that defenders lose tie in noncapital spaces, so regardless what you roll i'll still win the tie...i didnt realize that till you startd bombarding DC lol..so even on our medium size battles, the only way you would have won is rolling a 3 and me rolling a 1...

we can continue or do round 3? clearly the manasas/frederick area to dc is quite difficult to treck through...

and i believe this is my first game, in all our games, that i have finally won! Kasper with XXXXXXXXXXXX wins, andrew with 1 hahaha....
161 12/31/2018 4:21:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #24: 3 / Pre-War Treachery
Confederate may place up to two forts in any friendly controlled spaces with a LOC free of Union SPs and forts. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:
taking richmond
160 12/31/2018 8:20:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Nope. 2* cl vs 3 cl. Twice I only needed 3+, twice I rolled 1. The dices are fickle...

AoNV is down to 2 SP, AoP to 3 in total. It has been three costly battles, but McDowell and his cav general Stoneman seems to have won the day.

I think this is Game over for CSA as you probably take Richmond this turn, but let's see how it goes

158 12/31/2018 8:08:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #42: 2 / Kentucky Anarchy
Remove up to three enemy PC markers in Kentucky. You must also remove one of your own PC markers from the state if you have any there. Removal of a PC marker makes a space neutral. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Confederate:
Richmond may fall, but so must Washington. So says the will of the people... or is it the HQ?
157 12/31/2018 4:39:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Message a mad dash to put pressure on richmon and DC by the AoM...perhaps a fools errand but no other choice! if dc falls, so too shall richmond!
156 12/31/2018 4:37:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #78: 3 / Personal Advisor
Either player may remove or demote from army command one general for no SW penalty. Penalties for promoting a general with a lower political value still apply. OR remove ANY non-commanding general (even second in commands) from the game.

Message from Union:
155 12/30/2018 6:00:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Very nice. The defenders were so busy watching the enemy in Frederick, that they fail to notice the cavalry charge before it is too late.

Defender killed, no loses to attacker

General Forrest move on and joins AoNV with his 2 cavalry-SP. Those two SP will be added to the total and Forrest made into a general just to keep the scores okay

135 12/28/2018 1:01:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Ok. I am committed up north, but I have to know the size of your intercepting force before I decide on playing Franz. Intercept is prior to battle
134 12/28/2018 12:58:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Then my entire northern trip is for nothing. Okay, have to rethink all my plans. Sorry

133 12/28/2018 12:58:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Message Hah thatís fine it can be hard to see. Will that alter your play? We can rewind 1 or 2 steps. Or just battle it out and see what happens (can take card back if you donít want to use for combat)

130 12/28/2018 12:54:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message There is no intercept possibility. Manassas is directly connected by rail to Washington

I get +1 for main general and then 2subordinates as my battle rating is equal to your commanding genrals. Should be +4 generals and then +2 intercept for total +6. You get +5 from generals. Up to you if you wish to play CC here or not. If so, dont think you'll be able to use it on DC as if I lose i'll retreat back to dc...let me know how you wish to proceed. Confederate Player may move 2 SPs using Strategic Movement from the same space using rail connections only (5 space maximum) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. OR play this card as an automatic 2 space interception. Intervening space must be friendly controlled and free of enemy SPs. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept.

110 12/23/2018 8:03:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message And now I realise that divisions moving alone are not allowed to enter enemy territory...

So no Kentucky fried chicken for me. Davies make his round in the south anyway

Instead Davis make a bragging tour in the south
104 12/21/2018 7:49:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message Actually place one PC marker in Kentucky (the space next to my army). Then place one up north in Missouri (space doesnít matter). Maybe can take some pressure off the east theatre

Okay, AoV back to start. Again...
89 12/21/2018 2:51:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message So I think van dorn can only be activated individually to become a cavalary brigade (activate and move with 1 SP). I think you did it right last time we played, but vandorn remains regular general. Also, if you placed PC in fort monroe, you wont hvae enough movements to reach manassass this turn, a s you expend a movement to place PC. Youd have to lose 1 extra SP. FInally ,if you cant reach manassas this turn, your at risk for OOS (running to strasbourg and then to hannover, which you obviously could intercept back in to, but again I dont think you hvae cavalary brigade at present). thoughts?
88 12/21/2018 1:20:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Your guys are doing good. Only missed a single intercept so far
87 12/21/2018 3:11:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Burnside may intercept. Back to you to decide. If not, I move forward to Fort Manassas

Confederate player immediately receives three SPs in a single space, and loses three SW points. SPs must be placed in a friendly controlled space (including Pro-Union spaces) with a LOC free of Union SPs.

Message from Confederate:
1) Regarding force ratio vs Buell. You forget, that the cav general in himself is a SP, so I had the 2:1 when I attacked him and was thus allowed to continue moving
2) Regarding strategic move into Pensacola. The city is still under my control, even if you own the fort, so it is prohiboted to strategically move into the city. You may naval move without hindrance, though

And now the southern preachers call to arms, having the southerners travel to Richmond in droves
