683 7/5/2019 11:45:00 PM Spring 1865 Confederate Message Yeah, I neglected the +2 for the interception.

I'll come back to them some day, but I've *really* got to try to work through my to do stack.

682 7/5/2019 11:32:00 PM Spring 1865 Union Message Got to looking at the end move by Hardee, and I think he lost Tullahoma. AoC intercepts successfully, so its 5Gen rating goes up to +7, making its battle result an 8 causing 3 casualties. Tullahoma holds, Hardee and 3 retreat back to McMinnville. TN falls for 10 more SW.

New games, hmm. I'm not as well-versed or own a fraction of the games you've got. I'm also not keen on buying or learning play tools other than ACTS/Cyberboard which kind of limits me. I own and have only started one time Sword of Rome. Looked intriguing, but haven't ever followed up on it. Interested in a multi-player.
Also haven't played HIS in years. Last attempt with updated rules had my Pope utterly humiliate and capture Francis on first turns. Dude went MIA and game fell apart.
Those are all games you've played before though, so if you come back to the Mark Herman classics, shoot me an email. I appreciate the time you spent with this one. I might even have figured out by now how to score SW...
681 7/5/2019 10:00:00 PM Spring 1865 Confederate Message I’d like to take a break from FtP and get some time for my untried games. If I may be so bold, perhaps you could look through my list of owned but unrated games on my BGG page and see if any thing appeals ...

679 7/5/2019 1:23:00 AM Spring 1865 Union Message Woohoo!
First, yeah! Been a long time coming. Thanks for playing long enough for my stupid to wrap around this game and get a win. I still contend it has the weirdest CRT in the gaming world.

I spent the day not far from your last action in Dog Cove Rec Area. 2 miles up trail in a forgotten space, sitting in cool water, drinking beer, reading Wolhlleben and just chillin'. Oh and Calfkiller Brewery on the way home. It was good, as is this long tried for win.
I guess, I'll have to be the evil rebs for a while...
678 7/4/2019 4:06:00 PM Spring 1865 Confederate Message Not going to bother with Attrition, for obvious reasons.

POLITICS

USA controls Gainsville, Madison, Elizabeth, Arkansas Post, Camden, Monroe, Shreveport, Springfield, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Nashville, Franklin, Murfreesboro, Hanover

CSA controls Tullahoma, Cleveland

USA controls Arkansas and Louisiana.

CSA SW = 11- -5 -7 = 0; Union Victory

(If I hadn't created the ANV, we'd be at 3 CSA states controlled, plus (117 - 1)/25 = +4 for 7 and a CSA victory. I picked a very bad time to think about an offensive. My slim chance of saving TN was better than anything I could get in the East.)

Congrats! What proved decisive, I think, was my your appreciation of the importance of destroying Little Rock and Marshall, despite their low VP count, and the late, but too timely, emergence of EP. Killing Stuart helped, too. ;-)

Confederate Player may move 2 SPs using Strategic Movement from the same space using rail connections only (5 space maximum) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept.

Also destroyed my $1500 road bike tonight. 20K miles over 19 years, and a twig less the size of pinky lodged between rear derailleur and spokes, bending the mounting bracket so that the derailleur was in the spokes. Fortunately I was going up hill at the time, but on trying to bend the derailleur back out, the integrated mounting bracket broke off, ruining the entire frame.
So the least the doomed ANV could do is die easy and let me get on with losing the overall game!
