Not sure how you feel, but I think this helps Axis. Still get nice DRM for spring (-2) and I'm not halved. And only 1 snow turn.

So I'll take it.

21 1/31/2019 5:17:00 PM Turn 3 Ben the Kraut Message Best possible result EX

IF . . . I had won the original 3-1 vs T16, then my 8-7 would have moved past the Rail Junction in W15, pushing a Railhead up to there, before attacking X19 at 5-1 so you'd never get back into Kiev. And then I would have pushed SS Res on 2nd impulse to DD16 blocking the rail line to Dnepr River from the other end. And game would be very different.

But that's what I love about this game. How little things compound over time. On other hand, I got a fat DS vs big pair in Dnepropetrovsk, so I have no room to complain. =o)

Back to you for 2nd impulse.

13 1/22/2019 4:59:00 PM Turn 3 Ben the Kraut Message And now, the all important Sep/Oct weather roll, and IMHO, the most important roll of the game. IIRC, we played with Germans getting 2 Stukas even if Lt Mud. I'm gonna go back and check to see if that's what we did . . .before I roll, though it doesn't matter much, I lose about 90%+ of the time (Clear if I'm Rus, LtMud if I'm Krauts).

5-1 L22/M21 DR M20/N20 d2=DR!!!! Darn
5-1 O23 DR Q22 d4=DE

5-1 AA25/BB25 DR AA24 and AA23 if needed d6=DS
1-1 V26/V27 TBD d1=A1

Two bad results out of six, especially repulse of Finns, which makes Leningrad campaign much harder for Axis. But. IMHO, the retreat forward and DS vs pair in Odessa tilt 1st impulse results slightly in my favor.
