79 2/15/2019 5:26:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message AotP is down to 8 SP--you left two behind in DC.
78 2/15/2019 5:24:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message See log entry 42. McDowell is still commanding the AotP, so he can't be a casualty. IF there were a casualty, it would be McClellan or Rosecrans.

However, since you made a high odds attack (3-1 or greater), there are no general casualties, so everybody in your chain of command is still alive.

If it hadn't been a high odds attack, there also would have been a roll for my general, with a casualty on a 1 only.
77 2/13/2019 8:36:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message McDowell dies at Manassas

58 2/7/2019 7:10:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #42: 2 / Kentucky Anarchy
Remove up to three enemy PC markers in Kentucky. You must also remove one of your own PC markers from the state if you have any there. Removal of a PC marker makes a space neutral. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Confederate:
Remove the USA PCs from Falmouth, Frankfort, and Louisville. Remove the CSA PC from Paducah.

There is a bug with the PC markers in neutral states, so if you can't remove one, just cover it up with something as a reminder.
57 2/6/2019 9:45:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message Union Strategic Will now 98

55 2/6/2019 9:42:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message Not the first time I have done something sound or illegal at the same time.......

In light of this.........

The Army of Tennessee Is made in Cincinnati
54 2/6/2019 6:18:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message Strategically sound but patently illegal.

Which would be a great name for your memoir.

Both the blockade level and the amphibious modifier work like war status in PoG--they can only be advanced by playing events which do so. You cannot use OPs to increase them.

It takes a 2 or 3 card to create an army.

You can change what you do with that card, or take it back and play another.
53 2/5/2019 10:44:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #17: 3 / CSA Purchasing Agent
Confederate immediately receives three SPs in any open Blockade Runner Port, no more than one SP per port, but more than one SP per Blockade Zone is permitted. If insufficient ports are available, the excess SPs are lost.

Message from Union:
Increase Blockade Level to <1>

This and Amphib assult both take a 3 card correct ? It also takes a 3 card to make an army ?
52 2/5/2019 10:42:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Draw Strategy cards 5 cards drawn.

51 2/5/2019 6:51:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message I will not play a campaign card to steal initiative. Draw and play, sir.
50 2/5/2019 6:50:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message Note: do NOT end the turn--just draw your cards.

When I ended the turn, it advanced the turn for both of us. Nevertheless the option sits there, which has cut short a game or two.
49 2/5/2019 6:48:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Draw Strategy cards 5 cards drawn.

47 2/5/2019 6:47:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message If I had more than one cav general, I'd have to roll randomly as well.

Now I'll draw my cards and tell you whether I'm using a campaign card.

High to Richmond VA, low to Little Rock AR.
43 2/5/2019 6:42:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Oh, McDowell could lose command if the AotP is destroyed, but you really don't want that option.
42 2/5/2019 6:41:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Yes, you placed the generals correctly.

However, McDowell remains in command of the AotP. The only ways he leaves command are by a relieve general action from you (a card play using OPs and potentially costing you SW) or injury/death.

MacClellan becomes 2nd in command, as the highest ranking non-commander. He also cannot leave the army, unless an equal or higher ranking general joins the army and becomes second in command.

Rosecrans may take troops and leave if he wants.
41 2/4/2019 11:25:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message Army of the Potomac

Did I do that correctly ?

37 2/4/2019 3:27:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message To your question, yes, you move generals with cards. Any card (except the "must play" events) can be used as a reorganization move, allowing you to move as many generals as you want within the rules. Keep in mind that you must obey the rules for army command (the commanding general and 2nd in command may not be moved in this way).
36 2/4/2019 3:23:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message So MacClellan and Banks got the highest rolls and go to DC, Buell was 3rd and goes to Cincinnati, and Burnside was 4th and goes to St. Louis.

Back to you for the real thing with your generals.

34 2/4/2019 3:21:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message This is an example of how to place generals in ACTS using the dice. Pretend you have 4 generals coming in.
First, list your generals coming in:
1. Burnside
2. Banks
3. Buell
4. MacClellan

Then list where they will go in order:
1st and 2nd in DC
3rd in cincinnati
4th in St. Louis

The set the number generator to roll as many 999 sided die as there are generals. Example continues in next message.

31 2/3/2019 10:38:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message When are we able to move Generals ? or as the Union can I play any card to do that once it is my turn. I do understand political consequences if Generals that have a higher Political value are not named commander when an army is made (a 3 card), which also I must place a 3 card if I want to raise the blockade level or amphib assault correct ?
30 2/3/2019 10:35:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message Union Strategic Rail Redeploy

Either player may move up to two infantry SPs from the same space as if they were led by a General. This move is a Corps move and may enter enemy controlled spaces because the SPs are moving as if they are led by a general.

Message from Confederate:
And I'll put a PC in Columbus, KY.
21 1/30/2019 8:37:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message Sigh...........

Use the 2 OPS for putting Union PC in Frankfurt and Falmouth KY.
20 1/25/2019 8:39:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Nope, you may not. Armies cannot be disbanded voluntarily.

There is no way for you to use this card to amphib out of Washington. You would have to have at least three non-cav generals in the army to do so.
19 1/24/2019 10:41:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message May I disband the army and move McDowel and 3sp to fort St Phillip to assault it ?
18 1/24/2019 6:24:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Diabolically clever, but illegal. You'll have to try another ploy.
You can only naval move an army using an event card that allows it, or a campaign card with only certain generals. See 6.15.
McDowell can't move without the army as he's the commander.
And Fort P-J would block you moving into New Orleans. You have to take it first.
17 1/24/2019 5:01:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message I am out till Monday.........

Should my move below need to be redone, I'll take care of it then.
