My opponent said he did not think anything in the rules to allow any reinforcements to be placed anywhere other than in an original Union State; including the one of mine on the game track. While I agree the rules do not address this, I am not sure if we have always done that; same for the CSA and ensuring the SP goes in an original CSA state.

391 2/14/2019 4:40:00 PM Summer 1864 Union Play Strategy card as Event #1: 1 / Empty Haversacks
Can be played as an Interrupt card to cancel the activation of any Confederate force, OR during a Union player's turn to cause a Confederate force to immediately execute an attrition procedure. In addition, conduct Forage if force has no LOC.

Message from Union:
I had hoped to stop CSA AoMS from concentrating with the play of this card. He pointed out that IAW 4.52, the concentration happened, but no movement could be done. AoMS remains at 8-1, but is in Pollard, AL.
390 2/14/2019 4:38:00 PM Summer 1864 Union Message Corrections for AoT battles on my last turn. My attentive opponent made me aware of a few points that altered a couple of things during the battle, that I wish to list. During the battle with AoMS, CSA was +5 for GOs, so 1 more SP killed in my AoT ended 11-1. With loss of Sheridan down to 10-0. The fr modifier in the battle of N. Orleans was not listed correctly, should have been +4. Same results, but AoT ended at 8-0.
389 2/14/2019 3:53:00 PM Summer 1864 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #100: 3 / Shiloh
Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. If a general casualty occurs in a battle caused by this card, the Commanding General is eligible, this is an exception to the rules. See 4.5.

Message from Confederate:
I had this card last turn as well.

Move SPs in Missionary Ridge TN, 1 AoT (6-1), 2 Appomattox CH VA, and Goldsboro NC via rail > Greenville AL (AoMS 8-1)

AoMS (8-1) > Pollard > Mobile > Winchester > Holmsville (convert) > Springfield. You can intercept into an OOS situation in Springfield if you wish.

388 2/14/2019 11:29:00 AM Summer 1864 Union Message USA wins 3* to 2. CSA divisions destroyed and the CSS TN ironclad is removed. AoT n9-0 ends movement in N. Orleans.

USA wins 3* to 1. CSA AoM n3-1 retreats to Greenville and will lose a GO on a 1 DR.

USA AoT n12-1 may continue moving as had a 2-1 advantage, but must first roll for a GO loss on a 1-3.

367 2/13/2019 2:15:00 PM Spring 1864 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #100: 3 / Shiloh

As event ... SM SPs in Memphis (2), Norfolk VA, Goldsboro NC, and 2 AoT (4-1) > Richmond (AoNV 6-1) and activate Smith who moves alone > Amelia CH > Burkeville > Appomattox CH > Lynchburg (pu2) > Appomattox CH (d2) > Lynchburg (pu2) > Wytheville (pu3, n5) > attack 2 SPs in Lewisburg WV.
366 2/13/2019 1:57:00 PM Spring 1864 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #80: 1 / Southern Religious Revival
Confederate player immediately receives three SPs in a single space, and loses three SW points. SPs must be placed in a friendly controlled space (including Pro-Union spaces) with a LOC free of Union SPs.

Message from Confederate:
Hate to do this but at the moment I need reinforcements more than I need SW.

USA had a 3* to 3 result, but due to Richmond being a resource center, CSA wins the battle, but is reduced to 1 SP. Morgan is off the map till Spring 1865 and Forrest is reduced to 1SP. USA n9-1 falls back to Hanover and loses Wilder’s Bde as suffered a loss of 2 SPs in the battle.

Both sides must roll for GO casualty.

USA roll for possible GO loss.

358 2/13/2019 12:50:00 PM Spring 1864 Union Play Strategy card as Event #105: 1 / Detached Cavalry
Played prior to a battle against an army possessing one or more cavalry brigades. The ONLY effects are the Army’s Commanding General’s battle rating (offense or defense) is immediately reduced by 2 and no Cavalry general’s battle ratings may be used in the battle. The effects end at the conclusion of the battle. Cavalry generals are not available for casualty determination. OR: Place one PC marker in any space within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single cavalry brigade. The four space range many not be traced through Northeast Alabama. The space may not contain an enemy SP or fort, but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes.

Message from Union:
This will really be hard on the AoNV. Johnston goes to 0; Forrest's rating cannot be used, so that leaves only Smith's 1 to be a DRM for the CSA.
