363 4/21/2019 8:38:00 AM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Ok thanks, but I just don't get the game. I always see to be fighting a string of one's trading 1 for 1 to the union and that means sure death. I try to fortify and hang on to Dover, Columbus and Little rock to keep people from doing what you did to me in AR an MS, put 2 armies in the east, but I never get to of VA. Not sure what to do about this.

362 4/20/2019 10:12:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message just play a few games as the CSA to sharpen and refine your skill, you will get better and more efficient!
361 4/20/2019 10:07:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message you're getting there, Bill... you just need to study the map and think bigger... don't get locked into defending an area ... as the CSA, use your mobility and leaders to your advantage... notice how I used Burnside and Pope a lot... because Union hands usually only have a few 3-Op cards... so as the CSA, try to knock out the Union 2-Op leaders if possible... that'll put a stop to a lot of Union activities.
360 4/20/2019 10:02:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message you seem to like to build forts... so build them in Little Rock and Sabine... then, Union cannot even cross into LR and have to risk AA into Sabine... now your whole trans-Miss are covered and can be defended by only a few SP.
359 4/20/2019 9:59:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message >>>Then what stops you from making Tennessee and Georgia look like Mississippi. I just don't get it. If I had done that you just string 1's across the map and I still lose.

nothing if the Union player really wants to, but that is a lot of resources to commit to... TN is really difficult to convert, so is GA... the most you'll lose is AR and maybe MS... but by have an army under Longstreet or Jackson in Vicksburg, you can delay and hinder any Union incursions much better and more efficient... with a Concentration card or Campaign, CSA can pull nasty surprises on Union forces in the West.
358 4/20/2019 9:54:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message at this point, AOW in Richmond by itself is slowly being surrounded... I have 3 armies bearing down on you... Grant will cut your LOC in the next card, after resupply from AOC or a corps to pump up to 15 SP again... Lee only has enough strength to fight 1 battle... see how your 6 SP guarding TN would have made a huge difference in VA.
357 4/20/2019 9:50:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message well, if switching was too much trouble, I would use Lee and kick out AOP from Ft Monroe, thus freeing up your back side... then Lee can resume his attack either to WV or up the Valley... AONV can be at Manassas to cover his flank.
356 4/20/2019 9:48:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Your right I forgot Johnson won the battle and you have to stop, got so used to getting run over
355 4/20/2019 9:47:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message I would have formed an army with Longstreet in Vicksburg on T5... send your units from FL and Mobile/Pensacola to Longstreet to make his army at least 10 SP+... that would put a stop to any Union bread crumb tactics... instead, you have 1 sp here and 2 SP there guarding beaches!
354 4/20/2019 9:43:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Plus it takes too much unless moving to switch armies? Just seem to always have something in the wrong place.
353 4/20/2019 9:43:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message you see that your reinf of 11 sp vs Union 19 every turn is untenable in the long run... so you should not have wasted SP to mess with Union down in MS... conserve, concentrate, and strike when you have the proper leaders and cards...
352 4/20/2019 9:42:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Then what stops you from making Tennessee and Georgia look like Mississippi. I just don't get it. If I had done that you just string 1's across the map and I still lose.
351 4/20/2019 9:38:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message you should abandon Nashville long ago and concentrate your meager resources in AOW/AONV to pose a threat... imagine, the 3-6 sp forces you had in TN area and move them to VA... AOW can then be enlarged to 12+ SP which can then smash thru WV into Pitts... have Jackson w/ a cav and 4 sp force guarding your rear... now you have something any Union commander will fear.
350 4/20/2019 9:34:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message you should have formed an army under Longstreet last turn and used the Concentration card to mop up the Union SPs...
349 4/20/2019 9:32:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message well, you have the right idea, but you reversed your armies... AONV should be in Richmond, while AOW in Stras... then, pumped up Lee so he can be the sword while JJ is the shield... my AOP's attack is still weak compared to AONV defending in Richmond... and Mac's army is purely defensive...
348 4/20/2019 9:29:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message >You can keep moving

I wish I could, but Rule 7.33 says otherwise.
AOM [9] stops in Lynch.
347 4/20/2019 9:23:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Messed up forgot he was there. I am at the stage that I don't know what to do, you can just throw armies at richmond and wipe out the AOW this turn also. Nothing I can dream up helps. I just don't understand how to play the confederates. Everything you do seems to be just in the perfect position, its like I am not even here. Think I am not going to learn anything so I will concede.
346 4/20/2019 9:19:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message interesting that you have Jackson, yet only wanted a +5 in drm??
