Medium Battle

CSA (+1)
USA (+5)
28 4/23/2019 2:44:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Yep, I was thinking it wasn't an ideal turn one start but a successful raid and reducing your Eastern reinforcements would've given me something to show for it...

Now, definitely going to be a large uphill struggle but never-mind :)
27 4/23/2019 4:16:00 AM Spring 1861 Union Message Astonishing rolling as ever Mr. Bodkin, yes we'll come and play. Roll away.
26 4/22/2019 7:41:00 AM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Oh, +5 with McDowell, I forgot!
25 4/22/2019 7:40:00 AM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Why do I bother? Hehe, typical!

Do you want to intercept with the AoP for a medium battle where I'll be at +1 and you'll be at +4...

Message from Confederate:
AoP intercept (succeeds on a 1)
23 4/22/2019 7:38:00 AM Spring 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #12: 3 / Cabinet Intrigue
Union SW reduced by three.

Message from Confederate:
This was a tricky choice but I really don't like just the 50-50 of Price managing to kick you out of Sabine City. I should probably have tried that last card play but it left Little Rock open so, blagh. This raid doesn't have a much better chance when the interception possibility is considered as well but fortifying New Orleans or any other play seems so passive. The maxim, when in doubt be aggressive with the Confeds (at least early) tipped me over so here goes...

J Johnston + 1 SP moves to Strasburg, VA then Manassas, VA and picks up Beauregard + 3 SP. 4 SP launch themselves at Frederick, MD where AoP can attempt intercept...
22 4/21/2019 5:41:00 AM Spring 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Event #29: 2 / Crittenden Compromise
Union places (or flips in border states) two PC markers in any spaces free of Confederate SPs or forts which are not Resource spaces, Blockade Runner Ports, or Coastal forts. Void after Emancipation Proclamation. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:
Yeah I agonised over that for a while but I like opening up the front in Texas and it just seemed to be wrong to rely on your crap die rolling :-)

Flip PCs in Lebanon and bowling Green KY.
21 4/17/2019 5:11:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #67: 2 / J.B. Eads, Riverine Ironclads
The Union Amphibious Assault modifier is increased by two.

Message from Confederate:
Somewhat surprising to see you didn't raise the blockade there. I know it's a guaranteed closure of a blockade zone which is worth a lot over the course of the game but still :)

Place PC markers in Somerset, KY and Lebanon, KY
20 4/17/2019 2:58:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #69: 3 / Gideon Welles, The Naval Program
The Union player may either increase the Blockade Level by one or increase the Amphibious Assault modifier by two.

Message from Union:
We'll swing into action again 1sp from AoP n2 invades Sabine City
19 4/17/2019 2:22:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #97: 1 / Davis Tours the South
Increase Confederate SW by 3.

Message from Confederate:
Such excitement, I shall do something equally enthralling!

Place a PC marker in Bowling Green, KY
18 4/17/2019 7:53:00 AM Spring 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #53: 1 / CSS Arkansas
Confederate may place one Ironclad in a controlled port or coastal fort space.

16 4/12/2019 12:05:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #20: 3 / Union Arms Production Delayed

Message from Confederate:
Mmm, ok, we examine our collapse in the West..

Place a fort in Memphis, TN with Polk
15 4/12/2019 5:58:00 AM Spring 1861 Union Message 1*v1 Fremont wins (an even rarer statement)
Fort removed SW:
CSA -1-3cof = 96-
USA +1+dcof = 103+

Fremont may continue but he'll stop in Columbus stunned by his own success.
