481 4/25/2019 11:17:00 AM 203-201 BC Rome Message All you can do is play the odds.

Each attempt on Syracuse is 50/50. I needed two successes so about 4 tries. Each try takes a 2 Op card and means I can't respond to whatever mischief you're causing.

And there are two cards that remove siege points. Taking back Syracuse takes a lot of effort. It really helps to get a 1 general down there.

I thought my odds were better in Spain.

478 4/25/2019 10:43:00 AM 203-201 BC Carthage Message Yes great game, never had Hannibal be so weak.

I didn't understand why you didn't go after Syracuse earlier (2nd to last turn)
477 4/25/2019 6:55:00 AM 203-201 BC Rome Play Strategy card as Event #2: 3 / Sicilia Revolts
(Both) If your opponent has control of Sicily, remove all his non-walled PCs in that province which are not stacked with his CUs.

Message from Rome:
All I can do is cost you a province. Timely grain shortage was my doom, though I likely couldn't have gotten more than tied province count with the cards I had. Didn't help that I rolled two 3 consuls and so couldn't move.

But that's what gives this game great replay value.

Fun and very odd game. Congrats. You have to report results to the moderator I think.

422 4/22/2019 11:46:00 AM 206-204 BC Rome Message You're giving up too easy. That loss makes you remove 8PC (3 for the 7 CU and 5 for Hannibal) but you don't lose the game. In the original version of the game the Carthos lost if Hannibal was killed but they changed that.

A good hand for the Carthos on the last turn and they can turn almost anything around. And the way I've been drawing I'd bet on you over me.

420 4/22/2019 11:37:00 AM 206-204 BC Rome Message This is among the strangest games of this I've played. Hannibal is the only General I beat every time and Africanus is killed by Mago with 4 reserves.

I think Hanni is killed as his army has to end on a friendly PC and retreats can't go over passes.
