Confederate Player may move 2 SPs using Strategic Movement from the same space using rail connections only (5 space maximum) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept.

There is no offende, I am thankful your shared your view on this. It was a minor campaign, not najor. Rosie was just used to kill 1 of the 2 SP. The AoP could have moved around Beauregard. I think chances og 5:1 is worth taking a risk. The reason not to attack him, was to save the 1 SP for the best Force ratiom drm in Richmond. I hurried on because I assumed with division move of 1 SP from Weldon you could reinforce.

The 1 SP per space defence I had in my mind. But Richmond would not have fallen.

Lexington + Somerset + Columbus + Dayton + Indianapolis + Greencastle -> AoT n8

Probably should now defend Richmond proberly.
99 10/6/2019 8:56:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message No offence but after seeing your hand (Major campaign and 3x 3OPS cards) you should have got Richmond. However I think you used your activations poorly.

First, wasting Rosie just for a 5+ chance to inflict 2SP casualties wasn't clever to my taste. Even moving and droppping 1P in Strasburg - Staunton - Charlottesville - Gordonsville - Hanover (Or Franklin instead of Strasburg if you are worried of interception) would have been better as that would have put Beauregard OOS and you would get tons of converted spaces in VA.

Second, I'd moved AoP with Major Campaign:
m1-2 Frederick, p4
m3 Manassas (12-2 fight and assured wipe of Beauregard).
If I retreated on 1
-> m4 PC and m5 attack again.

After that no generals for me. Then with next attack get a certain 2SP attack against Richmond or win it outright. With 3rd you can just walk straight in.

Now you made attacks that had chance to fail, small chance but a chance nevertheless and fortunately for me they did. For example I dont think you had any heavy reason to move AoP with only 6SPs at first and move OOS into Culpeper.

But like I said if it sounds rough it's still nothing personal.

How'd I would have defended west?: Oof tough question. Probably moved something to Bloomington with one of the major campaign activations and built a fort with 1OP. Or spread out those SPs in St. Louis across Indiana 1SP per space. But dont know.
98 10/6/2019 6:31:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message I would be interested how you would have defended it.
97 10/6/2019 6:30:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message interesting argument, I would rather have seen how our both strategies play out with Richmond has fallen.

I decided not to defend in the west, because with +4drm there is nothing you can rally do against. And to spend all the cards for loosing Bloomington to bat roll, I decided rather to pick up the SW in the east.
