For the British, the first two losses must come from the 2 full-strength units; so flip the S.Prov, the Ranger. The last loss may come from any of the remaining reduced units. In this case, I'll just pick one of the reduced S.Prov units.

It really doesn't matter, because the Brits must retreat as they lost the combat. Since they are retreating back to Will's Creek, a Wilderness space with no friendly fortification, all the Drilled Troops are eliminated.

Let's play this to try and soften up the boys in Hudson Carry South.

Since there are 9 units in there, it will be a full die roll.
180 12/1/2019 8:38:00 PM 1757 Early Season France End Turn
179 12/1/2019 8:38:00 PM 1757 Early Season France Message I will keep my last card.

Onto the 1757 Late Season.
178 12/1/2019 4:56:00 PM 1757 Early Season Britain Message Change in plans for the British. Instead, I would like to put Stockades in Hudson Carry South, Hartford and Providence.

177 12/1/2019 11:33:00 AM 1757 Early Season France Message What this means, is that the British attack on the 28 column with a -2drm.

The French defend on the 22-27 column with a +2drm.

The odds are pretty good that the French will at least tie the combat. All they need to do is not roll a "1", while the Brits have to roll a "4", "5", or "6". Anything other than that, means the Brits either lose or tie the battle. Which means they retreat back to Hudson Carry South and all get eliminated, because there is no friendly fortification there.

Do you still want to do this combat?
176 12/1/2019 11:29:00 AM 1757 Early Season France Message Shirley's force includes:

2 x (N.Prov)

This is a total Combat Strength of 33 points.

They have a +0drm for Shirley, a -1drm for attacking a stockade, and a -1drm for fighting in the Wilderness without aux's.

The French force is:
- Montcalm
- Dieskau

- Bougainville
6 x Regs
1 x MD
1 x (MD)
2 x CdB

3 x Ind
