487 11/12/2019 6:53:00 PM Summer 1864 Union Play Strategy card as Event #14: 3 / Red River Campaign
May not be discarded by the Union. Union must use this card as an OC. If at the conclusion of movement, a Union SP is not on or adjacent to Grand Ecore, LA, then the Union loses 5 SW points. If a Union SP is in one of the objective spaces then a Union PC marker can immediately be placed to convert the space or spaces. Remove from deck if Union plays card.

486 11/12/2019 5:11:00 PM Summer 1864 Confederate Message I neglected to mention my SW loss for the blockade, though I did mark it down on my board. Still managed to be off by 1 somehow. After the last battle last turn it was 65+, then -6 -3 for blockade and the reversal =56-, finally +3 +2 for the most recent battle and reversal, so 61+ now.

454 11/12/2019 10:09:00 AM Spring 1864 Confederate Message That's actually the part I forgot; if ANV had been able to keep moving with the SP it would have had infantry again and could have flipped the PC.

ANV will now end in Columbus with n2=1+c1. The third activation of the campaign will now be a riverine move from New Orleans (n1) to Memphis (n1).
453 11/12/2019 9:49:00 AM Spring 1864 Union Message you couldn't pickup the Columbus SP it already moved you would have to stop your move in that space then after your move was over the SP would become part of the army.
452 11/12/2019 9:46:00 AM Spring 1864 Confederate Message Right. Stand by, rethinking both the continuation and the 3rd activation.
451 11/12/2019 9:46:00 AM Spring 1864 Union Message 5.26 MOVEMENT AND POLITICAL CONTROL: An Army that contains one or more infantry SPs has a unique capability to convert an enemy PC marker or place a PC marker in a neutral or enemy-controlled space by expending an additional space of movement in the space. An Army that does not have any infantry SPs (comprised exclusively of cavalry brigade SPs) does NOT have this ability.
450 11/12/2019 9:44:00 AM Spring 1864 Union Message you can not flip a pc with a Cav army
449 11/12/2019 9:38:00 AM Spring 1864 Confederate Message Thank you! The dice were a great help.

Continuing with ANV:
2-3. Columbus, flip PC and pick up 1 (I kept the cav so it's n2=1+c1 now; Columbus n0).
4-5. End in Dover, n3=2+c1.

3rd activation: The SP that was sitting in Dover does a division move to Memphis (via Corinth). Dover /ANV n2=1+c1; Memphis n1.

If this card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at the end of the Strategy Phase.
