182 12/5/2019 1:49:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message 2* (9=3+6) Confederates
1 (6=2+4) Union

Confederates eke out the victory, losing 1 SP compared to the Union losing 2 SPs. The Confederates did not have twice the size of the Union's force, so their turn ends in Murfreesboro.

Message from Confederate:
Medium Battle (9 SPs Union vs 6 SPs Confederates) with a +4drm Union (+2 leader, +2 interception) versus +6drm Confederates (+6 leaders).

And note the reason you only have a +2 leader rating is because of the following rule: “7.42-B If the Union commanding general has a battle rating less than the Confederate commanding general’s battle rating, then the Union Army’s DRM is equal to the sum of the Union commanding general’s battle rating plus one subordinate general battle rating."

Confederates

177 12/5/2019 10:59:00 AM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #15: 1 / Mosby's Raiders
Confederate can remove two Union PC Markers in Virginia within 2 spaces of Winchester, VA. The spaces may contain Union generals, SPs or forts.

Message from Confederate:
The AoT moves from Corinth to Tuscumbia, picks up 1 SP, moves to Decatur > Steven > Tullahoma > Murfreesboro > Nashville. You have a chance to intercept in Murfreesboro with the AotC. I'll roll for it and you can decide if you want to go through with it after the fact. You need a 1-2 (because of the cavalry bonus).
176 12/5/2019 10:47:00 AM Summer 1862 Confederate Message Longstreet is killed in the battle and removed from the game.

For winning the large battle, the Confederates gain 3 SW plus another 2 SW for changing fortunes (up to 85+) while the Union loses 5 SW and another 3 SW for changing fortunes (down to 103-).

4* (7=2+5) Union
6# (10=5+5) Confederates

Confederates win the battle, losing 4 SPs compared to the Union losing 6 SPs. There is a 1-3 chance of a general casualty for the Confederates, having rolled a modified 10. (The Union doesn’t have to roll because they had a 3-1 force advantage.)

Here is the die roll (1-3 we lose Longstreet).

172 12/4/2019 4:03:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #111: 2 / Wilson’s Raid
Union may place two Union PC markers in any spaces within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single Union cavalry brigade. The four space range CAN be traced through Northeast Alabama. These PC Markers (in contravention of rule 11.3D), CAN be placed in blockade runner ports/ and or resource spaces devoid of Confederate SPs or forts (but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes), resulting in their immediate destruction. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:
AOC is going to attack Nashville.....

I know that McClellan will become second in command
171 12/4/2019 1:58:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #130: 3 / Union Siege Guns
Union plays card at beginning of a battle (or Amphibious Assault) that has a Confederate fort present and cancels Confederate fort die roll modifier in the battle. Remove from deck if event is played. Draw a strategy card.

Message from Confederate:
We form the Army of the Mississippi in Cleveland. We lose 2 SW because Jackson isn't the highest rated general on the map (down to 80-).
170 12/4/2019 1:58:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message The resource space in Memphis is destroyed causing the Union to gain 5 SW (up to 111) and the Confederates lose 5 SW (down to 82-).
169 12/4/2019 1:24:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #75: 2 / Western Concentration Block
Confederate player can either remove or demote an army commander in any state except Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida for no political cost. OR Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. If a general casualty occurs in a battle caused by this card, the Commanding General is eligible, this is an exception to the rules. See 4.5 Remove from deck if event is played.

163 12/3/2019 8:42:00 AM Summer 1862 Union Message We leave 3 Units where we are and then proceed to Franklin

One other thing we pick up some units from McClellan
Hold on
162 12/2/2019 1:40:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message I just remembered that you cannot cross directly from Bowling Green into Nashville because you have to cross a river and there is a fort in Nashville. Hence to have the AotC attack Nashville (within 6 movement points), you'd have to go to Clarksville > Dover > Franklin (where you could be intercepted and/or you might want to place a PC marker) and then attack Nashville from there. And you could pick up units along the way. Please let me know exactly how you'd like to proceed if you do indeed still want to attack Nashville.

Union may activate any Union army within 4 spaces of Richmond, VA. The army must enter Richmond or move as close to Richmond as possible, but may convert spaces to maintain an LOC. All SPs associated with the army must be moved (no dropping off SPs), except 1 SP may be left if the Army began its movement from a fort (if last SP, move completed). If played by the Confederate, he draws a card from the Union hand which is discarded, and the Union player follows the instructions of this card as his next card play.

111 11/26/2019 11:57:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message I assume you mean that you leave Curtis behind and not Banks. (Pope, Curtis and Stoneman are in Cincinnati; Banks is in Cairo.)

Also there were 6 SPs in Cincinnati (including Stoneman's 1 SP). So I assume you meant that Pope +3 +Stoneman (and his 1 SP) move to Falmouth (leaving Curtis +2 in Cincinnati). Leave 1 SP in Falmouth. Pope +2 +Stoneman (and his 1 SP) move to Lexington > Frankfort > Lebanon picking up 1 SP in each. And then Pope +5 +Stoneman (and his 1 SP) move to Somerset joining the 1 SP there.

This would end with Curtis +2 in Cincinnati, 1 SP in Falmouth, and Pope +Stoneman (and his 1 SP) plus 6 SPs in Lexington (for a total of 7 SPs in Lexington).

Is this correct? If not, let me know what change you'd like.

89 11/21/2019 6:12:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Note, because Columbus OH is a state capital you would lose 1 SP of reinforcements during the upcoming interphase. Feel free to redo your move if you'd like, otherwise please confirm that you do indeed wish to bypass Columbus and have Pope +2 collectively end their turn in Cincinnati. (You might have missed the Confederate PC marker because I had raised it slightly so that you could see the state marker.)
