10 11/15/2019 5:29:00 AM Turn 1 USSR Message I know there are a lot of cards but just look thru the card deck / rule book and notice that some of the countries have cards that remove PC from them

France, Poland, Germany, Egypt, ect.
So sometimes this is good to know when placing PC.
Especially if that card has already been played so that
you can 'safely' place markers without fear of having them taken away.

Also remember unless an event says to place something, you can not place PC (similar to W.War) unless you have a marker in an adjacent country.

Thus placing a marker in Spain or France (like you did) will allow you to start placing in Africa, likewise, placing in counries that I have markers in (again similar to WWar) will allow you to start 'blocking' my placement into other places -

Note however I'm never NOT allowed to place markers but it costs me 2 OPS instead of 1 OPS to place a marker into a ENEMY CONTROLLED country for each pip until you no longer control it then it reverts back to 1.

THEN we decide which card is played.

The card with the higher Headline Value takes effect first. In the event of a tie, the Headline Event played by the US player goes into effect first.

Scoring cards may be played during the Headline Phase. However,they are considered to have a Headline Value of zero (0)and always take effect second. If both players select a scoring card as their Headline Cards, the US player’s scoring card takes effect first.
