252 3/28/2020 7:20:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Message Thanks Chris. I actually have a very good hand. Still have Troop Transport, Courier Intercepted and Coehorns left. Apart from a poor first turn, this has been my best hand as a BR player - great cards throughout. Tight game.

IT manager would be tough at the moment. Are you getting frantic calls from workers attempting to unsuccessfully set up IT workstations from home? It'd drive me mental.

Good luck, stay safe - and sane!

251 3/28/2020 6:50:00 PM 1759 Late Season France Message Yes, but I've been working from home for the last decade. I'm an IT manager for a financial research company. What's happened though is many of my colleagues don't work from home and so the sudden transition for them on top of the market going bananas has just blown minds all over the place.

The last couple of weeks have been a lot of work and I'm expecting another month of it or so. I really wish people would just calm down. Go hug something soft, have a drink and chill. Just pay attention and think rationally, it really will be all right in a few months. Sheesh.
250 3/28/2020 6:41:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Message Do you work from home at the moment? My job isn't overly taxing (communications - but at the moment community engagement) but is tenuous and actually busier working from home. Everyone has the time to send triple the emails.
249 3/28/2020 6:40:00 PM 1759 Late Season France Message Lol! Well played. That's the end of that one.

Good luck in the rest of tournament. Stay healthy and safe!
248 3/28/2020 6:35:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #6: 3 / Surrender!
Play in place of a roll on the Siege Table. At Louisbourg, you must already have Siege 1 or 2. Capture the fort or fortess intact. Enemy player places defenders at his closest unbesieged fortification.

NOTE: The deck will be reshuffled before next turn's cards are dealt.

Play before Battle in Wilderness or Mountain if you have Auxiliaries. May not be played if enemy has Fort, Light Infantry, or more Auxiliary units than you. Fire first, double strength (before any column shifts), unless enemy also ambushes.

Message from France:
Finish the fort in Oswego

I'm in Western NY (near Rochester) and the lockdown sucks, but it definitely isn't like NYC. Me and everyone I know, so far, is fine and we're hoping to keep it that way. Work has gotten ridiculous though, so if you haven't officially won by the end of this weekend, I'll just resign. I'm not going to have any time for games in the coming weeks.
245 3/27/2020 8:10:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Message Yes, done.

How are things with you? Reports in from NY sounds pretty damn scary. Are you in NYC? Hope you're on the outskirts of the state.
244 3/27/2020 7:34:00 PM 1759 Late Season France Message I won't regardless. Is your card play done?
243 3/27/2020 7:32:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Message Forbes and 3x3-4 from Winooski to Montreal. 31sp in Montreal.

I am unsure if you can fight a battle here?
242 3/27/2020 7:24:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Message Pretty bloody battle.

I flip 4x4-4, 3x3-4. Leaves 22sp with Wolfe, the LT and Ra are still full.
241 3/27/2020 12:42:00 PM 1759 Late Season France Message Siege 0 on Montreal.

Back to you to take loss and finish your move.
240 3/27/2020 12:41:00 PM 1759 Late Season France Message Damn. Forgot about the Militia. They would have joined the battle and made it 26SP for the FR. So no difference in the combat result. But I will flip all 3 of them in loss and restore 3 of my CDBs. So the final remaining strength in Montreal is 18SP.
