Andrew, can you delete this game please?

Okay. I've set up the game and drawn cards. Log up on Dropbox.
I'll wait for you guys draw your cards and then get started as E-S will be going first this turn.
Looking forward to it. I'll send an email with my phone number so we can switch over to WhatsApp.

So restart? We only have to remove Gracia, lower The tribe and move my units back. Using the set up file should do it. Only thing is I would like a WhatsApp message when a file is uploaded

I am fine with Vassal as the only platform. If the cards donít work in acts in this Game I see no reason for using it at all

Iím fine. I guess magna Grecia will have to wait for another time haha
|33||2/11/2020 9:05:00 AM||386-374 BC||Etruscan-Samnite||Message||
Do we just want to start again? We've only played one impulse. Otherwise shifting to VASSAL could be tricky.

Also for 3 player it appears there are some cards that canít be used for events (depending on icon in corner). Not sure acts notifies of that either...i think play cards in vassal. Notify in acts what we re doing and who is up next
|31||2/11/2020 8:54:00 AM||386-374 BC||Etruscan-Samnite||Message||
Yeah, it would be my vote to use VASSAL for the cards and use ACTS for die rolls.
What do you think, Kasper?
|30||2/11/2020 8:51:00 AM||386-374 BC||Greek||Message||
We could consider playing cards in a ACTS starting round 2, and keeping dice rolls just on ACTS for record keeping? That way would be easy to see what is played and permanently removed, etc. all of our windows are hidden anyways so itís not like weíd see each other cards
|29||2/11/2020 8:25:00 AM||386-374 BC||Etruscan-Samnite||Message||
On the card manifest, that card is marked as an event card, not a response card. So that is another mistake.
This mistake would not have happened if we were using the cards in VASSAL. This ACTS module is not up to snuff. Besides not having the type of event indicated and not having descriptions of the card event when a card is played, there appears to be no way to remove a card permanently if I should use it to Bribe.

No interrupt from me. Chawn as youíll find d out Kasper also has quite a knack for good die rolls and cards ;). Iíve been on the receiving End of it for over 1.5 years Hahahahahaha.
And is that card an interrupt you played? If not, you can prolly take it back in hand
|27||2/11/2020 7:47:00 AM||386-374 BC||Roman||Message||
No worries. I didnít take it as anything else than an attempt to save the Volcsi. Although sneaky tricks has been known to happen before all through Italian history ;-)

I am sorry. That misreading of card was a mistake and not intentional subterfuge.
I decided impulse order when I went first at the beginning of the turn. It goes E-S, Greeks, Romans, Galls.
I will resolve your attack and move on to the E-S second impulse when I get home this evening. Unless Andrew wants to interrupt as well.

BTW can you play that card out of impulse order? It is Greeks turn
|24||2/11/2020 7:25:00 AM||386-374 BC||Roman||Message||
As I read the Roman event it says Ą The Roman player must place one consul, his choice, and all units stacked with him in Romeď
HIS choice points to Roman Player. I choose the other consul and his 2 cu. So my good General and his 10 cu still arrive to fight Volcsi
E-S/Chawn, nice try :-) Please resolve the battle, as Andrew usually play later during the day

Over to E/S. I'll have to do my turn later as I have to get to work. Sorry.

Over to Greeks.
Andrew, we really don't want Rome too strong at this point in the game. Taking Antium would strengthen his hand quite a bit.

#3: 1 / Treason of Marcus Manlius
Message from Etruscan-Samnite:
There is a revolt in Rome, bringing Camilius back home.
"Play if a consul is not in Rome. The Roman player must place one consul, his choice, and all units stacked with him in Rome."
I choose Camilius to go back home with his 10 CU.

E-S/Chawn, please resolve. I play no CC in the battle
|18||2/11/2020 2:23:00 AM||386-374 BC||Roman||Message||
I move to Roma, pick up Valerius, move to Sutrium, leave Valerius and 2 CU, then back to Rome, pick up all units there and using last move to go to Antium with 10 CU.
It looks like we have a battle coming up. Who controls whether Volcsi stay outdoor or fights?

#14: 2 / The Sacred Band
Message from Roman:
Text says: The Sacred Band
Play before a battle involving a Carthaginian army. +2 to Carthaginian combat roll
Not that it matters, as I activate Camilus to take on those Volcsi

I like ACTS due to the dice roll function and it usually it is good at informing about the cards. Which appears not to be the case here.
I suggest we copy-paste from the card text to message board if it doesn't appear by it self
|15||2/11/2020 2:09:00 AM||386-374 BC||Etruscan-Samnite||Message||
I just noticed that ACTS doesn't put event text in the log. That is seriously tedious.
There are three ways to deal with this: (1) pull the card in VASSAL and play in in the log so we can read it, (2) use the card manifest you can download from GMT and copy it to the message on the journal, or (3) just expect everyone to look it up. Another option is to manage cards in VASSAL instead of ACTS.
What do you guys think?
|14||2/11/2020 1:56:00 AM||386-374 BC||Etruscan-Samnite||Message||
Carthage can and will get activated in this game.
It just occurred to me that you probably don't have access to the play book. The only differences for the three player game is that the Gauls and all of their spaces are out of play, all cards that effect the Gauls can't be played for their event, and we roll on the Gallic Events Table when the Gauls would normally have their turn.

magna grecia placed..hopefully buy some time to build some loyatly among the greeks hahaha
i take it carthage is not considered "neutral" and cant be activated by those cards correct?
But can we attack carthagenian spaces? If not, does rome and carthage ally in 3 player game? becuase that appears to affect if greks have to roll on naval table for movement right?

The Volsci are activated by my play of the NPA card, but everything they do is for their benefit. The siege will continue until their siege is broken by you or they succeed either through the Surrender Phase or another play of a NPA card. If they succeed in taking over Roman it becomes a city controlled by the Volsci. The rules for control of Neutrals is in sections 16.1 to 16.3.
|8||2/10/2020 2:56:00 PM||386-374 BC||Roman||Message||
A rules question. You activated the Volcsi, so in that action phase, the army could have moved and say put the Roman Capua under siege. After your impulse, the Volcsi returns to neutral. What happens with the siege and the army laying siege? Does the now neutral army stay in the area, if yes does it continue the siege until activated by another power (Rome to have it move away, E-S or Greek to continue the siege). And if the siege is successful, does the city become neutral (i.e. Volsci) or will it be property of the active player?
|7||2/10/2020 2:06:00 AM||386-374 BC||Etruscan-Samnite||Message||
I could play another card now as the NPA cards don't count for the one card played on a players round, but I'm going to hold off for now and pass to Greece.

Greetings...game is set up...map looks good according to playbook (i'm assuming we cant enter blue spaces correct, as that is gaul and they're not in play?)
Anyways, when ready, it appears that since we lal have 6 VP, then in tie order, E-S gets to decide who goes first, then we go clockwise from there? Im assuing clockwise on the map based off positions lol
Looking forward to this game!
