I agree that there are instances where it might require the Attacker to advance so you know where they are in relation to a future retreat. I would suggest that to limit the interactions back and forth, for you to do the combats together where my advances would not impact another unit since in almost all cases either the attacking units can advance 1 hex or 2.

I have changed my order for combats:

Combats in order:

1) 3119 4-3 (1-1) 2R T1; 2R Stuka = 5-1; My advance to 3020 if possible to cut retreat of 3019.

2) 2819 8-3 (2-1) 2R T1; = 4-1; My Advance to 2919 if possible to cut retreat of 3019.

3) 3019 8-3 (2-1) 2R T1; = 4-1

4) 2618 13-5 (2-1) 2R T1 / 1L town / 2R Stuka = 5-1

5) 2418 7-2 (3-1) 2R T1 / 1L woods = 4-1

Final point: your previous ACTS roll used a 6 sided die. The Combat table is a 10 sided die, and a 10 allows you to draw a red elite unit and roll again. This is why it is better for the defender to roll rather than the attacker.

If everything looks good - identify which two command chits available for selection with a delayed message using Vassal. I used AX T1 C1 and so forth for my chits. Suggest you label yours SOV T1 C1 and C2.
