33 4/1/2020 1:29:00 PM 217 BC Carthage Message Well, card-stealing cards are not unknown in other CDGs, although in "Wilderness War," for example, they require a die roll with only a 2/3 chance of success.

What is impressive here, though, is that it appears you must have been proceeding on an expectation that I had the Reinforcements card in my hand. Otherwise, in my experience, at least, those cards get played early on before the other player can lay out his best cards. That made your play of this card a particularly nasty surprise.

Hey Jeff, I was lucky to get the messenger card. We actually think it's overpowered so often house rule it to be less powerful.
