951 6/17/2020 10:16:00 AM Winter 1919 Allies Message Let's give CP another shot to conquest the world :)
Email me when u are ready!

950 6/17/2020 8:25:00 AM Winter 1919 Central Powers Message That's interesting. I don't like taking Ostend as it then means a 5 space defensive line. I agree on not being aggressive enough as I was wasting lots of Germans Reps. The plan was to take the three spaces in Belgium/France then hold while I turned East but it didn't quite work out. I waited too long to take Basra as got bogged down trying to take Baku which I should have given more try in Summer 1918. You mix your troops a lot which is probably easier for the AP. I don't like doing it as it cost more ops.
Maybe next time I will do things differently.
The last time I played FTP I found it fiddly with all the generals and who was in charge etc so don't feel in the mood for that right now but would definatley be up for another game of PoG in two weeks if you still are.
Thanks.
949 6/17/2020 7:26:00 AM Winter 1919 Allies Message About the game I think you played well but in my opinion maybe too cautious. I'd have attacked way more on one single Front and neglected the others till reaching a position easy to defend. I liked your push on Baku and probably I would have kept pressing because Having 3 vp in Russia it's so important. Surprised you didn't wipe out basra, that is nearly impossible to defend as AP.
I like taking Ostend and defend the Belgio from the rather than taking Verdun. Obviosly it's just theory, because it's very hard to accomplish the goal set at 5the beginning.
948 6/17/2020 7:16:00 AM Winter 1919 Allies Message What about a for the People match instead?
If u prefer PoG instead. I am totally available in 2 weeks. From what I understand u prefer Cp.
947 6/17/2020 3:31:00 AM Winter 1919 Central Powers Message You play the AP very well and your defence of Baku was very good. I think I've learned a few things from you in how to play the AP although I almost always prefer the CP. I think I spent too long hitting the French before turning to deal with the Serbs. It usually works out well but not this time. If I had got Baku I would have played more War Status cards but with no chance of the Tsar falling I had to play them for ops instead and let you push up war status. You would have won if not for the disaster in the Middle East and Russia.

Yes, will be up for a rematch. Maybe in a week or two?
946 6/17/2020 3:17:00 AM Winter 1919 Allies Message Yes. Everything correct. I damn needed that last vp a I tried everything could. I had an egde in both battles but dices just weren't on my side. I held zimerman Also for the last two turns but neither Salonika or Romania showed up so no vp.
I had a lot of fun with a always correct and patient opponent that learnt me how to correctly play on acts. Thank you.
Maybe in a while if u are up to I Am the for a rematch at PoG or other boardgames.
We both have our boargamegeek contacts.
945 6/17/2020 3:13:00 AM Winter 1919 Central Powers Message That has to be the best game of PoG I think I have played. The VP's at 10 (to be confirmed) make it seem much closer than it was as I think I got away with it at the end.
944 6/17/2020 3:09:00 AM Winter 1919 Central Powers Message This is what I make the VP's out to be. Do you agree?
