#82: 3 / Foreign Intervention - Reshuffle/Remove Either player can play this card as an EC when Confederate SW is 110+. If this is the last card in a players hand or the second to last and the player holds the Emancipation Proclamation, if the condition is met, it must be played as an EC, if not it can be played as an OC. EFFECTS: 1. Union Blockade reduced by one (cannot become greater than 4 for the remainder of the game). 2. Union -2 SP Reinforcements for the remainder of the game (Union choice). 3. Union SW reduced by 10. Remove from deck if event is played. If card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at end of the Strategy Phase. Message from Union: OK, will try to flee... Hey Rob, First of all, I'm very lucky with the dice from the beginning. Second, I could replay this card thanks to your fairness, and that makes a huge difference. Third, you should REALLY reconsider your decision : with your last card, you have a big opportunity to escape via Petersburg without being intercepted and to run North for shelter. Even if I try to run after you, you can retreat easily to some stronghold. Then you regroup next turn and counterattack. You have 2 turns to win. I've got 52SW so far. Your blockade means 10 points. War Guilt another 5. If you take Richmond and Virginia, it means 28. 9 points are missing, and AoM can easily do this with Kentucky, Memphis, Jackson, etc. Think about it, and tell me tomorrow. Of course, I still accept the bottles of Peace :-) About the Concentration Card : that's what I meant when I said I made a big mistake. To use these Concentration cards, you need Strategic Transport, which means all the routing from SPs to Army or Corps must be friendly-controlled, including the destination space ! And I succeeded to position my two armies into enemy-controlled spaces... |

That was my last card. I surrender! Man, I hope I don't run into you again in the next tournament.... I am sending you a couple of bottles of local product as a peace offering. Question: Why didn't you use the strategic concentration card to add 5 SP to AoW and eliminate Grant? Anyway, great game Philippe! |

#75: 2 / Western Concentration Block Confederate player can either remove or demote an army commander in any state except Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida for no political cost. OR Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. If a general casualty occurs in a battle caused by this card, the Commanding General is eligible, this is an exception to the rules. See 4.5 Remove from deck if event is played. Message from Confederate: I think I should have taken the risk to let you go through to Aoc. This way I would have retreated AoW to Raleigh and would have been able to use this one as an Event to attack Goldsboro and trap the whole bunch into Hickford Jet. Whatever... Division move : 1 Sp Charleston(0) to Raleigh(1) back to you for your last card... |

Desperation makes me pretty sloppy! Sorry Phil. Lets remove Mr. Hardee. I'll stick with the full 6 SP attack, as I need to try to get to Grant with as many SP's as possible. Therefore i would appreciate a low roll for the battle, and a very high roll for the AONV intercept. Could you manage that? |

A few things we forgot : - AoC has too many generals : Curtis goes to TT ; - AoW has too many generals as well, and you can choose between Hardee and Polk (Bragg is CoS and cannot be removed) ; - your attack to Williamsburg is OOS so I have +2 DRM. I don't know what you want to do ? |
