Hi Dave,
I sent the Fort to the turn track (see Turn 5).
I think it goes back in your pool like a reinforcement.
128 6/15/2020 10:40:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Net 9 vs Net 4. 2/1 for the confederates

Confed AoT drops from 7 to 6
Union AoT drops from 6 to 4 and retreats. I will assume Louisville but you can change it if you wish. Union fort is removed but I don't get a PW bump like the union does for taking my forts.

125 6/15/2020 1:58:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Message I have indeed been very blessed with 3 cards... must be the game luring me in... :-)

Thought about chasing Johnston, but there is a small chance AoP would get stuck in Fredricksburg, and I imagaine that would be bad. Army of Potomac will count their blessings, and stop in Manassas.

Played prior to a battle against an army possessing one or more cavalry brigades. The ONLY effects are the Armyís Commanding Generalís battle rating (offense or defense) is immediately reduced by 2 and no Cavalry generalís battle ratings may be used in the battle. The effects end at the conclusion of the battle. Cavalry generals are not available for casualty determination. OR: Place one PC marker in any space within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single cavalry brigade. The four space range many not be traced through Northeast Alabama. The space may not contain an enemy SP or fort, but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes.

I do not believe AoT can pursue across the rivers of either O,T in Paducah or M in Cairo, as Union projects naval power down those lengths.

Well I won't sack Pemberton yet. He held onto his job for now.

78 6/6/2020 6:48:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Not sure how it is going to work out in terms of spreading out SP's but the rebels are always lacking them while the Union seems to have more than they can use.

TN Nashville N=3
VA Manassas N=3
MS Cornith N=1
GA Columbus N=2
NC Weldon N=2
AL Mobile N=2

West: 4 to Cairo (total of 6 now)
76 6/6/2020 6:02:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message Not bad Dave. I see that your move helps you with no attrition suffered. Your high mobility (especially after you get your new leaders down) likely makes dispersing a very low risk.. and your leaders can just go gather men to concentrate nearly at will.
75 6/6/2020 6:00:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Set Deck Reshuffle Deck will be reshuffled before next deal
74 6/6/2020 5:24:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message End of Turn;

Union takes KY +10 SW and +2 for COF. Now at 114+. Then -5 SW for Union War weariness. -8 total. So ends up at 106-.

Over to you for placement of Union reinforcements.

I don't see any Political control changes.

Attrition:

None for the Rebels
-2 for AOP now at 5
-1 for AoT now at 4

73 6/6/2020 5:19:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #9: 3 / Clara Barton
Union immediately adds three SPs due to improved sanitary conditions. Place in any space (friendly controlled or not) that already contains a Union SP and has a LOC, no more than one per space.

Message from Confederate:
I don't know if this is wise, remember I suck at this game, but I am going to spread out my forces in the east.

Activate J Johnston at Franklin for a corp move

1) Strasburg Drop 2 SP
2) Manassas pick up all but 2 SP's from the AoNV
3) Fredricksburg drop 2 SP's
4) Hanover
5) Richmond drop 1SP
6) Hanover
7) Winderness
8) Culpepper with 2 SP's

Next effect is 2 SP's at Strasburg, Culpepper, Manassas, Fredricksburg and Richmond
72 6/6/2020 3:50:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message You are correct. I will add 1 SP back to your army before my next play.
71 6/6/2020 3:47:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message Hi Dave,

I think since we both have Armies with no Cav, our leader ratings are '0'. 7.52. You would win the 1/1 tie, but I would lose 1 less SP.

Let me know if I am confused.
70 6/6/2020 3:32:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Confed had a +1 for AJ. Net 5 for Union Net 7 for Confed. 1/2

Union AoT is now N=4
Confed AoT is now N=1.

Finally a break for the Rebels. Union Army returns to Lebanon and I am up.

67 6/6/2020 3:10:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message Hi Dave,

Yeah, I have been really lucky on '3' cards so far.

I'll move, and you can interrupt and intercept as you see fit.

- Convert to USA (4)
* Union moves AoT moves Somerset, KY -> Somerset, KY *
- back to Lebanon (5)
* Union moves AoT moves Somerset, KY -> Lebanon, KY *
- Bowling Green (6), and a potential battle...

66 6/6/2020 9:40:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Not intercepting. I need you to buy some lottery tickets for me. You essentially draw all 3 cards. The union can do anything it wants. LOL

Over to you for continued movement.
65 6/6/2020 1:02:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #82: 3 / Foreign Intervention - Reshuffle/Remove
Either player can play this card as an EC when Confederate SW is 110+. If this is the last card in a players hand or the second to last and the player holds the Emancipation Proclamation, if the condition is met, it must be played as an EC, if not it can be played as an OC. EFFECTS: 1. Union Blockade reduced by one (cannot become greater than 4 for the remainder of the game). 2. Union -2 SP Reinforcements for the remainder of the game (Union choice). 3. Union SW reduced by 10. Remove from deck if event is played. If card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at end of the Strategy Phase.

Message from Union:
Hi Dave,
Ok, first I am fortunate I can get this card outta my hand without pain. As a consolation for you, I think there were a lot of nice Confed '3' cards that I had put in discard that are now going to be back...

Second, I am guessing this might be a 'trap' in waiting, as you might have a last card that gives you some type of 'reaction' that will bite me, but I have to give it a go. Part of the fun of the game is climbing the learning curve of the cards, and getting to know what might be out there in your hand... :-)

Banks will get activated with his AoT.
Starts w 6 sp.
Goes to Lebanon (1)

Pause here to see if you intercept...
64 6/5/2020 12:15:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #57: 2 / Admiral Foote
Union may make a naval move with up to three SPs plus one general. If an amphibious assault occurs, you receive an additional +2 DRM. Add +2DRM to any Running the Guns die roll.

Message from Confederate:
Activate AoT in Nashville.

Leave 2 SP's in Nashville.

Move to Clarksville and leave 2 SP's

Move to Bowling Green. Army now has two SP's. Back to you.
