67 10/28/2020 11:05:00 PM Summer 1861 Moderator Message Confederate SW drops another 2 since Albert Sidney Johnston, who has the highest status on the board, was not made commander of an army.

66 10/28/2020 10:45:00 PM Summer 1861 Moderator Message Political Control Phase:
The Union gains control of Kentucky. It also wrests control of WV from the Confederacy.
Strategic Will stood at 105+ for the South and 100- for the North.

The situation in Kentucky adds 10 points to the North's SW for the state and +2 for the change from - to +. So the North is at 112+.
The gain of WV takes the North up to 117+.

The South was at 105+. The loss of WV takes away 5 SW and an additional 3 for the change from - to +.

SW
North 117
South 97

53 10/22/2020 6:00:00 PM Summer 1861 Moderator Message I figured out what happened with the crazy placement of the Union leaders. Earlier in the evening I had used a number-scrambling website to generate the list of numbers. I jotted these numbers down.

After Chris did his Strategic Movement I thought I should include the time stamp just to keep everything totally transparent, so I went back to the website and generated another set. Then I noticed website is in a European time zone and that would just be confusing. So I placed the generals according to the new numbers. The mistake was that I published the original set on Warhorse.

52 10/21/2020 6:50:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #26: 3 / Cotton is King
If played by Union, reduce Confederate SW by 2; if played by Confederate, Confederate immediately receives two SPs in any Blockade Runner port, no more than one SP per port, but more than 1SP per Blockade zone is permitted. If insufficient ports are available, the excess SPs are lost. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:
Will move leaders and units as they should be on the corrected map.
Burnside with 4 SPs in Bloomington moves to Vernon and on to Cincinnati where he adds 2 SPs [total 6 now]. He marches south to Falmouth and leaves 1 SP. He continues to Lexington also leaving 1 SP and proceeds to Frankfort and then Louisville where another SP is left.
He goes next to Lebannon and ends his move at Bolwing Green with 3 SPs remaining.
