Happy New Year! |
1105 | 10/16/2020 3:03:00 PM | Winter 1919 | Allies | Message |
I generally drew a nice mix of cards this game. The only exceptions were turn 10, when I drew only 2-point cards (but had held a 3 and a 4 card from turn 9), and turns 14-16, when I drew all my American cards a couple turns before I could have played them as events/reinforcements. |

#39: 2 / They Shall Not Pass Message from Allies: For posterity, I think I finished my last AP game with this card too! |
1103 | 10/16/2020 2:54:00 PM | Winter 1919 | Allies | Message |
Thanks. I had to win one eventually. I thought the dice generally went my way this game (most dramatically at Riga) and still only won by a couple points, so you definitely played very well! |

I have final VP at 10 -- great game! I knew I was in trouble when we were getting to midgame and the CP "hadn't gotten anything going yet" on any front. I thought *maybe* pulling Egypt out of my hat would be enough, and it certainly put me "back in the hunt", but nothing in Russia ever went all that well, from getting the Tsar in command to getting the one last VP site for Bolshevik/Treaty, and that was enough to do me in! My ladder game isn't going anywhere fast... I think we might be just finishing turn 3 or something. So whenever you're ready for Game 7, just let me know! |
