Lol I know you have Blucher, so I was not going to let you try that again! You need to resolve this battle first: b) FR1& FR2 in Verdun attacks Nancy AP with 6A vs CP with 3A If a FR army flips in this battle then advance FR10 in Verdun attacks Bar le Duc. Else if no FR army flips advance FR2 to Nancy |

#55: 4 / Lloyd George May not be played after MICHEL, BLUCHER, or PEACE OFFENSIVE. No BR attacks vs. Level 2 entrenched GE units may be made for the rest of this turn. The effect of this card is canceled by play of MICHEL, BLUCHER, or PEACE OFFENSIVE events. This event may mean that a BR MO cannot be fulfilled in a specific turn. Message from Central Powers: Last Try...same move:) C: Metz vs Verdun -> 9vs9 C: Sedan vs TC ->6vs6 no Trench M: Brussel-> GE3 to Nancy M: Strasburg-> (GE4) to BlD |

#35: 4 / Yanks and Tanks Allied player conducts operations using this card and all Combats involving a US unit during this Action Round get a +2 drm. Message from Allies: I assume no attack on Verdun rather than Sedan ;) Not clear if you want to play on or not so I will submit my AP2, however I agree it will be very difficult for CP to secure a draw after this gamble failed. AP2 - 4OPs Activate Insterberg, Verona & London for movement and Verdun for attack 1/ a) Move [RU1] in Insterberg to Konigsberg and remove trench & besiege b) Move RU9 & RU10 in Insterberg to Danzig 2/ Move FR3, FR4 & FR5 in Verona to Grenoble 3/ Move BR5 in London to Chateau Thierry 4/ a) FR10 in Verdun attacks Bar le Duc AP with 3A vs CP with 1c Minimum roll for AP with 3A is 1, inflicts LF1, elim [GEc] Maximum roll for CP with 1c is 6, inflicts LF1, no loss to AP b) FR1& FR2 in Verdun attacks Nancy AP with 6A vs CP with 3A Either attack fulfills FR MO On the negative I agree CP dice rolls outside the Near East did not help. Also agree with Reps management was inferior. CP did not play either Sud or 11th Army as an event which makes RPs management more challenging. CP rarely needed to replace Turkish or Bulgarian RPs, which is not a good thing. This meant there was a lot of pressure on German RPs as the German losses in the Elim Box attests. Also allowed a few too many easy victories after Independent Airforce event which to me is the signal for the AP to move to the offensive. Re Tsar Takes Command, CP early on pushed on the Eastern Front which is tricky at the best of times as most of the VPs are on the Western Front. However having pursued the Eastern Front strategy, I felt the CP did not follow through to force the Tsar to Take Command. I also felt like CP under used OPs holding cards and playing 1OPs or 2OPs combat cards as Actions and then holding cards. Playing those cards and discarding Combat Cards would have given CP more crucial OPs. Also used International stacks costing more OPs when not necessary or limited advantage. Prime example was CP attack in the Near East where 6 TU units gives CP 6A which converts to 5A after mountains and only costs 2OPs. If CP had used 4 to 5 BUcs plus TU Army = 9 to 11A which costs 3OPs and converts to 6A after mountains. I think for the most part CP used 2 BUcs giving 8A which converts to 5A after mountains but costs 3OPs. Italy AP have 6 FR Armies against 7 CP armies entrenched in mountains. Not sure CP can afford this type of commitment as the CP generally have less armies. On the positive Brilliant tactical manoevres again on the Western Front almost allowed the CP to steal. Good strategy recogition that the position called for an attack in the Near East as BU & TU RPs were underutilised. For AP, negative, agree there was poor recognition of the need to deploy more RUcs in the Near East and failure to attempt entrenching earlier. Poor gap control on the Western Front that almost allowed the CP a revival. Pointless movement to Iraq. I envisaged SR BRcs to help defend Russia but supply lines were too problematic. I actually thought Egypt was heavily defended. There were 6 BR corps there Russians benefitted from diversion of resources elsewhere and fortuitous trench rolls except in the Near East. |

No attack in Sedan. I think it's over, that was my only hope and even if it had succeded I would have been still far behind. Just my thought about the game. CP: Important rolls didn't help, this last one but also vs serbs and when Italy joined I rolled very badly and I was counting on gaining some ground there. Beside that u outplayed me in reps mgmt and mostly with your fantastic use of Russian in which I think u are really a master. Not being able to make the Tzar fall is my major regret, I should have deployed more resources there abondoning western front that could have been kept wiht few armies. I have been to irresolute to choose my battles and I changed the focus of the fronts too many times not really closing any. Just my suggestion to improve your game if I might. AP: ME was neglected and u were lucky I had to do in balkans vs the nasty serbs otherwise I would have taken Baku way earlier and then Basra. Actually without NE I was thinking also to use Micheal vs Egypt. CAU e NE must be on the board to create offensive threat or al least to keep busy the two TU armies I think u sent too many french armies in Italy that instead could have been used to attack Strasburg and to worsening my already precarious German Reps mgmt. I look forward to hearing from you some tips to improve my game as well |

For A: Sedan vs CT -> 9vs4 no trench I make it CP with 10A+1 (+1 for Michel which also cancels the trench) vs AP with 5A {BR4 & [BRc]} You may resolve if you agree and I assume you will want to advance if victorious. Overall just under 30% chance of success, nicely played, if you had not done it this move I think I would have inadvertently stopped it next move. |

Request: 6-sided die x 1 6 Message from Allies: How can we set the Uboat issue? Since I can not take it back from discard we can set that I had played that for reps instead of Tzar (this is the most punishing for me, but it's my fault so nothing to blame) this is the only way I can use that 2 card. I agree playing the 2OPs card as RPs only give you 1 GE RP which is too punishing. Note in your hand this turn you held the Hoffman card which you played in CP3 for 2SR. I could easily imagine that if you held the Uboat card you could have played that card for 2SR and kept the Hoffman card in your hand. I think therefore if add the Hoffman card back into your hand then that is outcome that will most fairly mimic the scenario of retaining the Uboat card in the deck. Thoughts? Advance RU4 in Tarnow to Cracow and remove trench & besiege End of Turn Attrition Phase: Nothing Siege Phase: Die roll in order: 1/ Siege roll for Cracow, succeeds on 3 or more |

I am not able to find Uboat in the discard pile because it's in the deck..sorry Ok but I think you can get back Hoffman for example because it is in the discard pile played this turn. We can then pretend that the Hoffman card is the UBoat card until either you play the "Uboat" card as an action or actually draw the Uboat card. This will eliminate the advantage that otherwise will be conveyed to you by not having the Uboat card in the last deck. I need to sleep now. |

Well I was kind of expecting your last 2 cards to be Tsar Takes Command and the U-Boats Unleashed as they were the 2 cards left unplayed from previous card deck. Effectively now you have gained an unfair advantage by effectively discarding that card without having to play it given the deck has also turned over and reshuffled. I do think it would be fairer to play on from the position of assuming you had only those 2 cards ie 1/ Takes Command and 2/ the U-Boats Unleashed left in your hand and you play one of them for your CP6. Thoughts? |
