#14: 2 / The Sacred Band Message from Roman: well. If the majority agrees that at the start of this turn Clusium and Arretium are Etruscan controled then I'll change my last move. No play this card against Greek in Lylybaeum. No move Dictator to Tarquinii, Instead move it and 10 CU to Neapolis. Greek win the battle in lylybeum, Thurii remains Greek controlled and greek can spend 1 point of Loyalty. etruscan has to decide where carthaginians retire. |

It is deabeatable nowadays that Sicility is part of Italy...;) Part for the pourpose of this game Italy is only the Peninsula. Totally agree with the other issues that Gaul rightly pointed out. Rome can not take control of the space and since Gaul has more VP now it's up to me to decide, becase Greek can not decide about Carthaginians |

16.3 Movement/Retreat Restrictions The following restrictions apply when a non-player power is activated for movement via the play of a Neutral Power Activates event, attempts to avoid battle, or attempts to intercept. • Carthaginian CU/leaders may not enter any spaces in Italy Not sure how this rule makes sense isn't Sicily part of Italy? 1 Move dictator and 10 CU to caere, 2 convert to Roman Control, 3 move to Tarquinii (Etruscan has options). If it goes into the city I stop and besiege. How can the Romans move and convert regions in the same move? pg 6 7.1 A player may use a card to do one of four things: • ACTIVATE LEADER: Activate a leader whose initiative rating is less than or equal to the card’s value (9.0). • POLITICAL SUPPORT/LOYALTY: Increase political support by placing PC markers and/or increasing walled-city loyalty, in any combination up to the card’s value (7.3.1). • REINFORCEMENT: If the card’s value is 3, place 1 CU as a reinforcement (5.10). • EVENT: Cause the card’s event to occur, following the instructions on the card. PLAY NOTE: Some card events conflict with the general rules in this rule book. In these cases the card events take precedence. I am.not sure about this. I played a card from Carthaginian. I think I have to decide. But what Is the rule ? pg 19 16.1 All decisions on behalf of a non-player power while inactive are made by the player who has the fewest VP and is not allied with the active player. This includes intercepting, avoiding battle, position inside/outside cities, retreating or placing/removing support after being victorious in battle. So I think it is Etruscan/Samnite's choice. |

I think that that we have a simple way to fix it. Faesulae, arretium and clusium are indipendents from the first turn and bribery was never used until now. Not events are occurred from battle of Caralis to now so Etruscan can decide how he want to spend his 1 political support confirming the switch of Faesulae (knowing that Arretium and Clusium remain indipendent) or change that choosing another option. |
487 | 1/10/2021 6:56:00 AM | 347-336 BC | Gaul | Message |
Looking back you are correct. This is from the first turn, though and not sure how much strategies would have changed had it been known then. Eg: I doubt Etruscans would have flipped Faesulae in reference 430 to preserve their Mines. 1/1 losses ES wins and stays with 2, flip Faesulae with 1 support gained (no attrition for Arretium and Clusium) To me we either 1/ play on as is from with the regions remaining Etruscans or 2/ go back to end of Turn 1, fix the error at that point and play on from that position ie after the end of Turn 1. |

see 299 that turn was 373-362 BC In that turn faesulae was indipendent and roman and Etruscan was not allied. At the end of that turn, in the isolation phase that we skipped, Arretium and Clusium became indipendent. Only in the subseguent phase (end/renew alliance) Roman and etruscan made an alliance and, at that time, Arretium and Clusium was indipendent and remain indipendent even when Faesulae in the last Turn returns under Etruscan control. |

"Note as Faesulae was converted back to Etruscan control Clusium and Arretium are not isolated." See 455 they were isolated 2 turns ago, Feasulae was retaken only in the last turn. They remain indipendent controled. Actually since the Etruscans and Romans were allies then correct me if I am wrong but supply could be traced via Caere, Roma and Sutrium. |

#29: 3 / Tumultus Gallicus Message from Gaul: Guys, if it is up to me to fix update the map after Rome's moves to make my moves expect long delays between my moves. I also need to prioritise my tournament PoG game and have a few more other games on the go. Gaul will renew their alliance with Rome else I will lose my CU. Sorry but this game is already highly likely to be an easy victory for Rome. While the Greek's early alliance with Rome helped secure their southern border, Carthage crippling the Greeks was a huge boon for Rome and effectively put the Greeks out of the war. While the Transalpine Gauls are relatively easy to beat for Gaul. Having them sit as a threat on the periphery ties down Gallic CUs to have to stand guard. Gaul did try to take on Rome early on while they were vulnerable, but Gaul was pretty much on its own and poor die rolling meant it was soon more prudent for Gaul to simply accept alliance rather than persist. Note as Faesulae was converted back to Etruscan control Clusium and Arretium are not isolated. Add 1 CU to Sena Gallica. |
