571 12/4/2020 10:43:00 AM Fall 1863 Union Message I agree with you on the surfeit of campaign cards and the AA cards. Another suggestion I would make is reviewing the quantity of both. There seem to be too many.

570 12/4/2020 10:40:00 AM Fall 1863 Union Message Thanks for the explanation on the running the guns formula. I had inferred that it worked like the AA cards and allocated resources accordingly. Oh well.

569 12/4/2020 8:47:00 AM Fall 1863 Confederate Message Just sometimes the end comes sooner then the evening.
568 12/4/2020 8:46:00 AM Fall 1863 Confederate Message I think we’ve had an abundance of campaign and AA cards and a paucity of reinforcement cards, at least for CSA. But they say it all evens out in the end. Lol
567 12/4/2020 8:43:00 AM Fall 1863 Confederate Message No the bonus applies only for that action. The reference to cumulative is to combine all bonuses so Farragut for +2 and then subtract for torpedoes
566 12/4/2020 8:07:00 AM Fall 1863 Union Message Had a question about "Running the Guns".

I played Foote event last turn. It says:

"Add +2DRM to any Running the Guns die roll." The rules state that "All Running the Guns DRMs are cumulative."
Does this mean that playing the event provides the DRM modifier for the rest of the game?

565 12/4/2020 7:54:00 AM Fall 1863 Union Message And I had a +3 SP card, but you cancelled it!

564 12/3/2020 5:03:00 PM Fall 1863 Confederate Message It’s been feast or famine. I think including the 2 this round I’ve had 4 total for 8 SP.

Thanks!
503 11/29/2020 10:15:00 PM Summer 1863 Union Message WAY off. Changes the calculus dramatically.

Very potent card. Reconsidering.
502 11/29/2020 9:47:00 PM Summer 1863 Confederate Message Your interpretation of the card is off. Trace four spaces from a cavalry brigade. You can place PC markers in 2 such places. So for instance you could say convert Hanover and Gordonsville to USA control as those are four spaces from Stoneman’s Cav.

I’ll pause and not roll intercept in case you want to play card for something else.
501 11/29/2020 5:02:00 PM Summer 1863 Union Message Also, my interpretation of the card I just played is that an independent cavalry move must precede the play of this card and the cavalry must survive the following CSA move before this event can be played.

I would be surprised if you could use this card both to activate and move a cavalry bgde and gain the event. But maybe I was wrong?
500 11/29/2020 5:00:00 PM Summer 1863 Union Message Jeff:

499 11/29/2020 4:58:00 PM Summer 1863 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #111: 2 / Wilson’s Raid
Union may place two Union PC markers in any spaces within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single Union cavalry brigade. The four space range CAN be traced through Northeast Alabama. These PC Markers (in contravention of rule 11.3D), CAN be placed in blockade runner ports/ and or resource spaces devoid of Confederate SPs or forts (but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes), resulting in their immediate destruction. Remove from deck if event is played.

Neither Wheeler nor Morgan were close to Forrest in ability. Bragg was a fool and a friend of Davis, who was also a fool.
496 11/28/2020 8:51:00 PM Summer 1863 Confederate Set Deck Reshuffle Deck will be reshuffled before next deal
495 11/28/2020 8:51:00 PM Summer 1863 Confederate Message Greg I just realized something. You played Foreign Intervention at end of last round. Condition wasn’t met so played as a ops, which means deck needed to be reshuffled. I’m going to set to do that, so we don’t forget for next round.
494 11/28/2020 8:46:00 PM Summer 1863 Confederate Message It was Wheeler to whom Bragg twice transferred troops Forrest had personally trained and equipped. Bragg really was an idiot. He kept Forrest idle during the “siege” of Chattanooga. Hell you don’t like Forrest, send him off to harass the Union supply line then. That would have both utilized his talents and made the Union resupply of Chattanooga harder and it was already precarious for a while.
493 11/28/2020 8:05:00 PM Summer 1863 Union Message No argument here. Forrest probably single-handedly prevented collapse of the CSA position in the West.

I was just riffing on your stories about the Morgan-Forrest rivalry and Bragg's apparent favoritism for Morgan.
