#7: 1 / Mud March Interrupt enemy force currently moving to no more than one space of movement. (Converting a space counts as movement.) Applies to only one move during a Major or Minor campaign card, but not a special army-naval move. Message from Union: Muddy roads stops Stuart in Murfreesboro No cards left, bty |
89 | 1/24/2021 5:48:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Confederate | Play Strategy card as Operations |
#3: 1 / Forward to Richmond Union may activate any Union army within 4 spaces of Richmond, VA. The army must enter Richmond or move as close to Richmond as possible, but may convert spaces to maintain an LOC. All SPs associated with the army must be moved (no dropping off SPs), except 1 SP may be left if the Army began its movement from a fort (if last SP, move completed). If played by the Confederate, he draws a card from the Union hand which is discarded, and the Union player follows the instructions of this card as his next card play. Message from Confederate: Nashville. Stuart and one SP to Appomatox |

SW: CSA 95, US 97 as it was not a large battle, I don't lose SW from losing the 2nd battle for Richmond Bty |
87 | 1/23/2021 6:38:00 AM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |
No you didn't. Rue 5.2. When forming an army the highest ranking general in the area is automatically commanding general, so Johnston is per defaul the leader. It was before you won the major battle, so no FoW penalty, but you still pay 2 SW for the other Johnston in Kentucky having higher rank. So CSA SW down 2, and Johnston takes command (have always had it in fact) |
86 | 1/23/2021 6:31:00 AM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |
And now I see, that Beauregard is in command of AoNV. I thought it was Johnston. Did you take the SW hit from promoting a junor officer to general? Checking |
85 | 1/23/2021 6:29:00 AM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |
You are in luck. 1-2*, anothe defeat for the AoP (n9 SP), and another win for AoNV (n2) Actually we both had +2 from generals, as US commanding general is equal to CSA general (7.42.A), which allows me to use two sub-commanders, and CSA is always able to use two subcommanders. But result is the same with +4/+4, so still 1-2 |
84 | 1/23/2021 6:19:00 AM | Summer 1861 | Union | Die roll request |
Request: 6-sided die x 2 1 5 Message from Union: I assume you stay and fight, as I would just overrun and come after you anyways. So 2nd battle of Richmond US: 11 SP, no cav, so +1 from general + 2 from odss CSA: 3 SP, no cav, so +1 from general +2 from fort +3/+3, US first dice |
83 | 1/22/2021 7:22:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |

#103: 3 / Seven Days/Chattanooga Either player may move 2 SPs using Strategic Movement from the same space using rail connections only (10 space maximum) to the same space with a General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more enemy SPs or fort. OR play this card as an automatic 2 space interception. Intervening space must be friendly controlled and free of enemy SPs. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept. Message from Union: Undaunted by severe loses, McDowel attacks Rihmond again, this time gaining +2 for superior odds Having a hand full of 3's is very nice in this situation, as neither of us will get any reinforcements next turn... So I attack with +4, you defend with +5. Fight or retreat? You may resolve |
81 | 1/22/2021 7:18:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |
So I have AoP with 11 and you have AoNV with three |
80 | 1/22/2021 7:16:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |
Aha. I have mis-played that one Outcome is the same then |

7.52 CAVALRY INTELLIGENCE: In Army vs. Army battles, a side’s commanding general has his battle rating reduced by two, but never less than zero, if no Cavalry Brigade is present with the Army. This penalty does not apply in non-Army battles or when an Army fights a non-Army [7.43-4]. I think it applies to both of us, its not negated because neither have cav |
77 | 1/22/2021 7:13:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |
You are right about Halleck... |
76 | 1/22/2021 7:13:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Confederate | Message |
yes I agree as per my Log before |
75 | 1/22/2021 7:12:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |
The Cav-negative is only used when one has cav and the other hasn't. If neither of us has cav, we are on equal terms, blundering along as we can, and as such we both use full powers |
74 | 1/22/2021 7:12:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Confederate | Message |
You just rolled for Halleck again. As I understand it, once you fail an intercept, you cant roll again. Over to you for your turn, and AoP should be 12 strength I think |
73 | 1/22/2021 7:10:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Confederate | Message |
BTW, in the Richmond battle, I think it is wrong. CSA should also have the leader reduced to zero due to Cav intelligence This means that we both have zero for our Generals, meaning we can both add 2 subordinates? So +2 for USA, +3 for CSA. Result is 5 losses each Tell me what you think |
