On a die roll of 4-6 the general is wounded and removed from play, but re-enters during the reinforcement phase of the next game turn.

71 1/14/2021 8:05:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Message Sorry that you feel that pointing out illegal moves is wrong and giving you a rules reference is rude.

How would you like me to communicate with you.

Per the tournament rules, all moves and dice rolls have to be documented in the ACTS log.

What you just wrote in the log doesn't correspond to the Vassal file.

You said Richmond (n3) which typically means 3 SPs are left in Richmond.

It looks like you picked up 2 SPs from Richmond (n1) and left one 1 SP in Richmond and now end move in Manassas with 6 sps total (5 infantry and 1 cavalry).

If being a stickler is correctly wanting to understand your move and its legality, than sorry.

And Tim. I have played this game in a friendly manner 6-7 times. Against friends. First tournament this, and I am a bit rusty in the ruels.
If you continue being a stickler and a bit rude in your comments when reminding me the rules, I am more than happy to resign and let you win, because you are actually taking the fun out of it

Your call. Calm down or take the win and we stop

69 1/13/2021 6:28:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message There are some problems with that move.

Please review the corps movement limitations rules in 5.33 and 5.34

Essentially a general moving as a corps can only move 1 general additional general at a time and no general can be left alone with out SPs.

I don't think that move back to Richmond is possible within the limitations of 5.33 and 5.34

Also in general, all moves need to be fully typed into ACTS.

Please correct.
68 1/13/2021 5:40:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #74: 2 / Political Crisis
The Union player may remove or demote one Union general for no SW cost. The cost for promoting a general with a lower political value still applies. OR remove ANY Union non-commanding general (even second in commands) from the game.

60 1/13/2021 2:45:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #102: 3 / First Manassas
Confederate Player may move 2 SPs using Strategic Movement from the same space using rail connections only (5 space maximum) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. OR play this card as an automatic 2 space interception. Intervening space must be friendly controlled and free of enemy SPs. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept.

My general placements are simple as mentioned earlier.
53 1/13/2021 2:02:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message I randomized them and drew them to their destinations in Vassal, yes. If you want, we can redo and roll dices.
52 1/13/2021 1:35:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message McClellan's +1 reinforcement bonus only is only valid if he is in command of an army and within 1 space of DC.

Did you use vassal to randomly place generals? If so, we can do it that way, we have to roll dice in ACTS to place generals.
51 1/13/2021 12:12:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message Question: McClellan ended in AoP. I seems to remember, that there is bonus reinforcement SPs if he is commanding AoP or am I confusing it with another Civil War game?

The 3 Sp from Augusta, Colombus and Corinth to Manassas (n6),
2xCharleston to Richmond (n3),
Mobile to Nashville (n3) and,
Norfolk to Nashville (n4)

Corrections are that the word Manassas (n6) is not missing. The one going illegally to Winchester now go to Richmond and the SP from Norfolk instead moves to Nashville (n4)

End result is one more in Nashville, one less in Winchester
44 1/10/2021 10:57:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message To recap, what you wrote doesn't come close to matching what's on the map, so I don't know what you did for strategic movement.

You wrote: Augusta, Colombus, Corinth (n6), Charleston to Winchester(n2) and Charleston to Richmond(n2), Mobile to Nashville(n3), Norfolk to Richmond (n3)

and then you said that the SP to Winchester goes to Richond (n4)
43 1/10/2021 10:56:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message You say Nashville has 3 but the map doesn't correspond to that either.
42 1/10/2021 10:55:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message Strategic movement to spaces that are not Armies can only be done via rail lines or naval moves and cannot be combined.

What you wrote in the log does not match what the file has.

You wrote: Augusta, Colombus, Corinth (n6), Charleston to Winchester(n2) and Charleston to Richmond(n2), Mobile to Nashville(n3), Norfolk to Richmond (n3)

Can you re-type in your strategic movement for the log?

41 1/10/2021 9:49:00 AM Spring 1861 Confederate Message I must have misunderstood something or just can't find it in the rules. So the 1 SP that was supposed to go to Winchester ends up in Richmond instead, now 4.
