198 1/19/2021 9:33:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message I picked up Lee on log 172. So that is where the extra "umph" comes from. :-)
197 1/19/2021 12:38:00 AM Summer 1862 Union Message If Curtis fails his interception roll the odds should be:

1. CS +4 (Smith, Longstreet, one "1" general)
2. US +2 (Fort)

Or you pick up another general (Jackson/Lee) at Louisville.

OK?

139 1/11/2021 1:53:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message The interception never happened and you may choose to retreat at Goldsboro with Pemberton or fight the battle anew.

The level of detail in a strategic take on the civil war is interesting and sometimes surprising, everybody learns it the hard way :)
And I doubt I am winning, foreign intervention is a very rare event...
138 1/10/2021 5:46:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Well, unfortunately, I must agree with your reading.

I'll let you do the clean up, as I keep goofing things up. I'm not real detail oriented. :-)

The Interception never happened, so the battle would have occurred in Goldsboro. Correct?

I'm good with whatever you decide. While I plan on making your like heck, I am also resigned to losing. LOL but I expect to learn some more from you before I let you go.
137 1/10/2021 2:11:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Message Ah, now I see, but don't think it was possible in the first place.

Only the commanding general of a force (as a whole) in a place can conduct an interception (5.8) and this would have been Pemberton (1-3 success). The last sentence on a lone cavalry brigade refers to infantry SPs without a general, so if Pemberton would not have been there.
136 1/9/2021 8:07:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Pemberston and 2 SP are in Goldboro now.
