25 1/9/2021 8:17:00 PM Turn 1 Left Message I'll play assemble

Y > Gwy (3xR, Y)

I'll grab a Y from Gwy (now my court is 3xB, 2xR, 2xY)
24 1/9/2021 8:11:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message I'll play English support
place 2Y in Warwick
(Warwick now 4R, 2Y, 1B)
I'll take B from Devon
(Devon now 1B, 1R)
my court now 2R, 2B, 2Y

23 1/9/2021 8:04:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message >>> That means Essex gets a white disk

* I think Essex gets a black instability disc? The white discs are associated with playing the negotiate cards (I already played my Negotiate card, and my white disc is on Moray in position #7)

22 1/9/2021 8:01:00 PM Turn 1 Left Message I'll pass as well. That means Essex gets a white disk and the R and Y go back into the supply (now 3xY, 2xR in supply)

For the next round, I'll pass.
21 1/9/2021 7:56:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message I'll pass
20 1/9/2021 7:51:00 PM Turn 1 Left Message I'll play English Support
- place 2xY from pool to Northumbria (now 4xY, 2xB, R)
- I'll grab R from Devon (now 2xB, R)
- my court is now 3xB, 2xR, Y
19 1/9/2021 7:34:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message I'll play Scottish Support
I make it that there are no blue cubes remaining in supply, so I place zero cubes
I'll take Y from Essex
Essex now: Y, R
My court now: 2R, 2Y, 1B

18 1/9/2021 7:23:00 PM Turn 1 Left Message I'll play Welsh Support
- place 2 R from supply in Warwick (now 4xR, B)
- I'll grab a R from Essex (now 2xY, R)
17 1/9/2021 7:15:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message I'll pass
16 1/9/2021 7:14:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message >>> I think I can - here's the rule: "If there is no control or instability disc in Moray, you may instead place the followers into a region bordering Moray." Is that right?

* well, duh! OF COURSE, you're right!

15 1/9/2021 7:12:00 PM Turn 1 Left Message I think I can - here's the rule:

"If there is no control or instability disc in Moray, you may instead place the followers into a region bordering Moray."

Is that right?
14 1/9/2021 7:07:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message >>> I'll play Scottish Support

* I don't think you can play that, as Moray is not controlled by the Scots, i.e. there isn't a blue control disc in Moray
(as a reminder the Scottish Support card schematic shows placing 2 blue cubes in a region bordering a region with a blue disc)

13 1/9/2021 6:25:00 PM Turn 1 Left Message I'll play Scottish Support
- as I read the rules the ONLY place I can put the 2xB is in Strath (now 4Y, 2B R)

I'll grab a B from Warwick

My court is now 3B, 1Y
12 1/9/2021 5:57:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message I'll play Negotiate
I'll swap Essex with Moray
Essex now 1
Moray now 7
place my white negotiation disc on Moray
I'll take a R from Lancaster to put in my court
(probably too early in the game to use powerful card like negotiation, but like you say a learning game...
11 1/9/2021 5:26:00 PM Turn 1 Left Message I might have time after the Seahawks game - 1st qtr just ended.

Your move looks good - I had the rules wrong - I thought we would now move to determine control of Moray, but now looking at the rules we keep playing cards until we both pass and then determine control.

No idea what I'm doing - so I'm going to pass!

10 1/9/2021 5:06:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message OK, I've sorta kinda figured the rules, even if I have very little idea of strategy.
I'm not sure how KiD is going to work as a basic game 2-player, seems a bit zero-sum game (but we'll see). However, I'm guessing it'll be quite different as a 3-player.
The 2-player Advanced game seems like it'd have a bit more chaos and uncertainty, and might be interesting?
Anyway, I'm guessing you're watching NFL all day today, but if you felt like playing a turn or 2 live (e.g. during a half-time), ping me a text.

9 1/9/2021 4:55:00 PM Turn 1 Right Message I'll play Assemble
from supply
B in Lancaster
R in Devon
Y in Northumbria
I'll take a B from Devon
now
Lancaster: 2B, 2Y 1R
Devon: 2B, 2R
Northumbria: 2B, 2Y, 1R
my court: R, B, Y
(I don't think we need to keep spelling all these out - unless Joey has some fun with the cubes!)

8 1/9/2021 1:51:00 AM Turn 1 Left Message I'll go ahead and play my first card since this is a learning game.

I'll play Outmaneuver.
- move 2xYELLOW from Moray > Strathclyde
- move 1xBLUE from Strathclyde > Moray

Now the situation is:
Moray: 3xBLUE
Stratclyde: 4xYELLOW, RED

And to finish my move I grab one cube from the map and place it in my court. I'll grab the BLUE in Gwynedd (now 3xRED in Gwynedd). My court is now 2xBLUE, 1xYELLOW
7 1/9/2021 1:08:00 AM Turn 1 Left Message Before I play a card I'll wait to see if you've got questions....
6 1/9/2021 1:08:00 AM Turn 1 Left Message Oh yeah - and I drew the scoring cards - if we were playing a competitive game I should have declared these before rolling for sides:

1. Moray
2. Devon
3. Lancaster
4. Northumbria
5. Warwick
6. Strathclyde
7. Essex
8. Gwynedd
5 1/9/2021 1:07:00 AM Turn 1 Left Message One last thing for setup - the remaining pool of cubes in the pool is:

3xBLUE
4xRED
5xYELLOW
