Either player must play this card as an EC on the Strategy Round immediately following a Union large or medium battle victory. Confederate loses 10 SW and 3 SPs (his choice). Union loses 5 SW. Flip GT marker to its Emancipation Proclamation side. Card must be the last one played by a player at which time it can be played as an OC card. If the play of this card as an OC results in a battle victory, there is no Emancipation Proclamation Remove from deck if event is played. If this card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at the end of the Strategy Phase.

Message from Confederate:
3C6 - Event

Marc,

I have really screwed up and can offer not good explanation other than I didnít read the card well. I had it in my mind it had to be a large battle to trigger the EP. This should have been played immediately after you played you Major Campaign, or, in other words, almost an entire turn ago. Itís not so significant at the moment for the SW but I would have to had removed 3 more SP which would likely have changed you plans for the rest of the turn. I was in bad shaped as it was but thought maybe I could carry on but my mistake was significant.

I think I should concede considering the severity of my mistake. You may have been able to take Richmond or Nashville which is a big deal. That said, Iíd be good with starting a new game and congratulating you on a significant victory.
100 1/19/2021 3:01:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Event #11: 2 / Nathaniel Lyon

Richmond - Activate Beauregard and his full force (3 SP) and move to:

1st move
1. Petersburg - 1 mp
2. Suffolk - 1 mp

5. To Hanover & drops 1 SP = 1 cav SP now - 7 mp
6. To Fredericksburg and drop Stuart - 8 mp
7. Beauregard back to Richmond = 10 mp, all by rail fort 2 mp bonus

2nd move
Millen, Ga - activate Bragg and his 1 SP and move to Montgomery.

3rd move
Nashville - Activate Van Dorn and 1 of the 5 SP there. Leave 4 SP and Pemberton at Nashville and move to:
1. Decatur - 3 mp
2. Grand Jct - 6 mp total

98 1/19/2021 8:06:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #106: 3 / British Clydeside Shipyards
Confederate immediately receives three SPs in any open Blockade Runner Port, no more than one SP per port, but more than one SP per Blockade zone is permitted. If insufficient ports are available, the excess SPs are lost.

Message from Union:
I agree completely with your reading of the cotton card -- separate ports, but can be in same zone, as you have them placed.

Activate Halleck, Move to Mobile, drop 1, to Pollard, drop 1, and return Pensacola with Halleck and 1 SP.
97 1/19/2021 7:35:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #26: 3 / Cotton is King
If played by Union, reduce Confederate SW by 2; if played by Confederate, Confederate immediately receives two SPs in any Blockade Runner port, no more than one SP per port, but more than 1SP per Blockade zone is permitted. If insufficient ports are available, the excess SPs are lost. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Confederate:
3C4 - Event

As I read this card I came to the conclusion I have to place the SPís it allows at blockade runner ports. If you think differently let me know because I would change my move slightly if that were not the case.

94 1/18/2021 2:37:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message The 5 SW bonus is a one time deal celebrating his appintement as army commander.
93 1/18/2021 2:34:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message Aha!. thanks for solving th mystery for me.
McClellan -- that is one of his two special abilities. The other is an extra SP each turn as long as he remains in charge and near DC.
92 1/18/2021 2:30:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message No problem on the AoP, Marc. Itís at 6 SP. As for reading it...Iím think I know where. In the Amphibious Assault it talks about coming up with a single modifier so subtracting one from another. But then you use both in the example which is a little confusing. But I believe that is where you came up with it.

Now, important question. You showed the Union SW at 118+ after promoting McClellan. I donít know where that came from since the battles we had were not large. Let me know.
91 1/18/2021 1:19:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message Because to the higher loss, I would not have left an SP at harpers Ferry, so the AoP could remain at 6. Its it is OK with you, I will make that adjustment.

90 1/18/2021 1:16:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #50: 1 / CSS Sumter, Commerce Raider

Message from Confederate:
3C1 - 3 OPS

I hate to use this card this way but I think I better put a fort at Nashville.

Well, you have me in a bad way since we got no Reinf this turn. Not sure I can hold out 5 more rounds. If not weíll start a new game and Iíll do a better job of protecting Dover.

Good moves on you part last turn. And I hope Halleck gets a really bad sunburn!
86 1/18/2021 9:50:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Message I found the same loss discrepancy on your attack on Winchester as at BG. You had 1 dr add and I two dr add. We both ended up with 7ís = 2 steps.

That dropped you to 4 SP not 5. In the end I disagree on the number of SP in the AoP because you picked up only 1 of the 2 SP in Frederick, leaving 1 SP there. I have the AoP at 5 SP.

Let me know my man!
85 1/18/2021 9:40:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Marc, in the battle at Bowling Green I inflicted steps of loss on you with a modified ed die of 7. You typed in 1. I show you at BG with 4 steps instead of 5. Just let me know if you disagree.

Now, on to your next move of the campaign.
84 1/17/2021 8:57:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message And for my final action, Halleck will move by sea to Pensacola with his 3 in Baltimore and enjoy the coastal air.
83 1/17/2021 8:55:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message Another bad roll for you, I'm afraid, losing 2 again to my one. The other Johnston to the TRT. Pope leaves 1 in Winchester, 1 in Harpers Ferry, picks up 1 in Frederick and ends in DC, brining AoP to 6.

Message from Union:
The Yankees will begin by Activating Buell and 5 SP inn Louisville (taking Burnside with us), move to Lebanon, pick up SP and attack Bowling Green, with 2 MP expended.
Let me know if you have a card to stop march. I got lots to do with this card, so please go ahead and roll if you like, or leave it for me.
I figure attack as follows: +1 for Buell, +2 for 3-1 force ratio, +2 for no CSA LOC. CSA has Johnson's +1, so at +4 overall.
77 1/17/2021 3:00:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message You can go ahead and make the first move.

Baltimore (2)
Washington (5)
Harmers Ferry (5)

66 1/17/2021 11:14:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message Turn 2 Political Phase

No Capitals changed hands.

PC marker placement:
Somerset, Ky - UPC
Louisville, Ky - UPC
Lebanon, Ky - UPC
Dover, Tn - UPC. (Sucks! :)
I donít see any other but check me. Iím having a day when Iím a little sleepy and a little off which I get occasionally.

Border States:
Kentucky falls way too easily to the North.
North SW 103+ pul 10 for ky, = 113 SW

Attrition Phase
South -
Winchester, Va. = 3 SP drops to 2 SP
Manassas - 3 SP drops to 2 SP
Bowling Green - 3 SP to 2 SP - Foraging affects no further due to only 2 SP remaining in the space.
McKenzie, Tn - 3 SP to 2 SP
My screw up on protecting Dover upset the remainder of my turn costing me 4 SP and no reinf coming this turn.

North -
Washington - AoP 6 SP drops to 6 SP
Baltimore - 3 SP drops to. SP
Harperís Ferry = 6 SP drops to 5 SP
Louisville - 5 SP drops to 4 SP
Dover - 3 SP drops to 2 SP

Iíve never used the cards like these but I think I see a good reason to now.

Manassas - 2 SP (leaving 2 with Beauregard) move as follows:

1. Move to Culpepper, then Gordonsville, and continue along the rail route to Rodgersville, Tn. This is 7 spaces, 2 coming from the 5.91 rail bonus rule.

This ends the strategy phase.
62 1/17/2021 9:01:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Message Hi Stan,
That fixes the illegal move and I get to keep Dover, so I'm inclined not to redo anything further and move on from here.
