Hi Martin. Normally, after you had won this assault you would move the tank to area 9 and then back to area 8 to use the extra MPs it has to gain control of area 9. Control of area 9 helps prevent certain potential bad things from happening for the Brits. So I am going to assume you would wish to do so and mark control of area 9 to British.

However, on the second part of your move, the two ranger units did not have enough movement points to participate in the attempt to overrun the CA in 31. It cost them 1 MP to do the overrun in 30 and then it takes 4 more MP to move into 31 with a fresh unit. Then your third assault in 19 was legal and also resulted in the elimination of the CA there.

I will give you two options for legally resolving the illegal assault in 31: 1) leave it the way you played it, with my CA going D1 and your three units all spent in 31; or 2) have the assault with only your 1/16 lead unit participating @ 7-3, which would have resulted in a stalemate after your roll.

The usual convention when you roll too many dice, as you have done here, is to use the first die rolls for however many you should have rolled.

To resupply the units, you need a die roll of 7, with a +1 modifier. So essentially you need a roll of 6 for the resupply to be successful. Taking your first four dice rolled, you would not have refit any units.

64 9/12/2021 12:45:00 PM Turn 1 German Message Yes. Unfortunately for you, the weather has changed. This is a bad thing to have happen for the Allied player, especially on D-Day or June 7th. Many Allied players try hard to retain the advantage in order to be able to re-roll such an event. I would also comment that you probably want to land your artillery on Omaha at some point, although ideally you would do this right before the end of the day so I do not have a chance of hitting them if I shoot my artillery unit that is still fresh on the beach.

J6-G5: Activate area 58. Move the three flak units and 709/FA to 55 to 48 to 46 to 45 to 44 spent. Move 709/739 the same route, but it stops in 45 spent. They can travel this far because when the weather is overcast, German units get an extra movement point.

Regarding the artillery unit, it can come with the infantry if it wants, but it does not add to your attack value because FA cannot participate in an assault. (It could add support if it was fresh in an adjacent area.)

So the attack odds for your assault would be 7 to 8. It's obviously a gamble, esp. because the assault is in bocage which absorbs my first casualty point, but if you win big and clear the area it would be very good for you.
