667 6/28/2022 8:54:00 AM Fall 1917 Central Powers Message Rich, you've been a courteous and competitive opponent. You beat me in Italy and I think if you had taken shots at Verona, you would have pushed me out. Whether good or bad there (as my G army could then have had to reinforce the west), my greatest fear was that you would hit me in Strasbourg and Cambrai consistently. Bringing in the Caucasus army would have helped you. When you used its card for replacements, I SR'd the Turks east. When I noticed the bulk of your Russians going into the south within sight of Budapest, I knew I had to secure the hills and if not able to retake Munkacs, to at least hold Uzhgorod, but it was becoming a stalemate for me. I considered all of your replacements heading south and positioned the G armies to drive north quickly knowing that you couldn't reinforce Kovno in time. Then the cards were in my favor with that Wireless" flank bonus. I sat on the Fall of Czar card for one turn. But yes, hitting me in the west would have caused me to throw replacements there when I needed 2 or 3 armies to retake the Austrian hills. Thank you for a well played game and your kind patience for my computer inabilities. I hope you do well in the tourney. You have good inherent strategic skills and only need to master the tactical use of your cards better. Hope we can rematch at WBC!
