100 6/25/2022 7:35:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Message Thanks for the tip, super helpfull

Rematch for sure. Would you give me another shot with USA.

I will set up the new game this evening
99 6/25/2022 6:23:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Oops, you actually sent your message at the same moment as I did so didnt at first notice it.

But anyway, I'd say that turn 3 it was already too late. The most crucial thing wasnt the CC card on turn 2 but my two big reinforcement cards turn 1. CC helped me to get 2 state raids instead of 1. Those extra SPs on the other hand assured that I can rail 7+7 SPs from the map on my push along with those brought by regular movement ie. what Smith did bringing 6 more SPs to Richmond.

Emancipation helped you a bit but going hard for it left AoP in a pretty awkward position. Turn 2 was immensely hard for Union and not sure how you could have set up your defences. But all in all you needed to bring every single SP on the map to the eastern theater. So setting up the defence started right from the start and you couldnt leave even those few spare SPs to Cairo-Cincinnati etc region. Probably should have brought Central-reinforcements to Jackson etc. to be able to bring them to the East or if I chose to SR my main offensive to West instead, they were ready to go that direction also.

That being said what costed you the game was not building a road block in Grafton or Pittsburgh. It was so lightly defended that it was the direction to go for me. I think that in these kind of situations Union cant make move which doesnt threaten something or start an attack with 1SP. Either run around a general to cut supply or attack with 1SP and hope you cause 2SP casualties. If Union sits and waits CSA to bash their way in, usually aggressive players manage to find a spot to profit too much.

But dont worry about it too much. Incredibly hard game for Union. Rematch?
98 6/25/2022 4:00:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Message Ok I concede

That was my hand....what would have you done instead to avoid defeat?

Either player must play this card as an EC on the Strategy Round immediately following a Union large or medium battle victory. Confederate loses 10 SW and 3 SPs (his choice). Union loses 5 SW. Flip GT marker to its Emancipation Proclamation side. Card must be the last one played by a player at which time it can be played as an OC card. If the play of this card as an OC results in a battle victory, there is no Emancipation Proclamation Remove from deck if event is played. If this card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at the end of the Strategy Phase.

>> Do we want to share the map?

I'm fine both ways but I'd suggest we share map at the end of turn 3 and then after every turn? And of course if there seem to be differences. Sharing after every move feels a bit cumbersome.
