Hey folks sorry for the delayed response on my end, I wasn't really watching my email so I just noticed all this. I'm good calling it, as a new player I feel like I learned an important lesson on how a good CP player can really hammer the west front, so it's good enough for me. So far I had played far more deliberate CP players lol so this was a good learning experience. |

That was only a misunderstanding. I repeat to both I have no problem to restart the game from the last move of Mike that he can adjust as he wants. I don't have any illegal advantage. More than this I cannot do. |

You should never assume. The Moltke move appears legitimate to me but you did not reply to Mike's query but let him play a 2OP instead. Bad form mauro; I expect better of experienced players |

I had assumed that Mike had seen the possible isolation of the two French corps in Belfort and that he couldn't do anything else because he didn't have enough ops to save everyone. But if this were not the case and Mike wanted to repeat the last move, I agree to continue playing |

Yes, in the First move there was not oos for Belfort and I agree to continue if Mike wants to do he can adjust his move. |

I have not run the moves through, but I do not see a supply warning for Belfort before it was cut off. Am I right? |

Honestly your last message was lost on me. Tracking the mandatory offs, but not sure how the OOS happens. Still pretty new to the game but it looks like the western front is broken. I'll concede. gg |

Hello! Good to meet you as well. All sounds good, only thing is I generally don't send Vassal logs back and forth unless there's a discrepancy that needs to be cleared up. Just feel like it takes too many extra steps. I'm on the east coast of the US myself, should be able to submit moves on my end after work to keep the game moving. I'll roll for the bid next, good luck and have fun! |

Hi Mike, I live in Italy near Rome GMT +1. Usually I use warning oos on movement or for automatic victory, also a remi der for missed m.o. in the last round of every turn if even It has not accomplished. I use Vassal and I prefer to Exchange file One time in every turn or even more of you agree. Nice to meet you. Have a nice day and good luck. If you agree you can roll for bid. Ciao Mauro |

Welcome to Round Two of the BPA IX Paths of Glory Tournament! Most have been through this before (many times now!) so you probably know what to do: I'll be your Game Moderator (GM) and should be your first point of contact for any issues related to this match. My overriding priority for this match is to make sure it's fun and fair for both players. That means sportsmanship is expected at all times and issues are to be resolved equitably. Contacting me: I am currently in Thailand (GMT +7) and am usually online at least twice a day. I will generally respond to all match questions within 24 hours. If you need to contact me, e-mail me directly at "paulhubbard@hotmail.co.uk" referencing your match # when you do so. ACTS does not send the moderators all posted messages and as we all have multiple games to moderate, the GMs do not read through the logs of individual games with any regularity so direct contact is needed. Unless of a confidential nature, please ALSO CC your opponent, put your question/issue in the log and I'll make sure I post a response there as well. If I do not respond within 48 hours, please ask one of the other GMs (Tom: gregorit@yahoo.com or Michael: mdauer92@yahoo.com). Issue Resolution: If either player has a concern about a particular ruling or resolution I make, feel free to escalate to the other GMs. I will also discuss with Tom and Michael if there's something I'm not sure of. Please remember that the ACTS logs are viewable for all, direct exchanges with your opponent are obviously permitted but GMs will view the ACTS logs as the authoritative record of the game. Getting Started: Here are my thoughts on how to get the match started: - Introduce yourselves and set expectations regarding your availability and game pace. - Agree on the scenario. The default is the WBC Historical Scenario as described on the POG Tournament Page and I strongly recommend its usage. - Agree on usage of supply warnings. They are strongly recommended. - There is no mandatory usage of a particular PBEM tool. VASSAL is recommended but not necessary and exchanging game logs is also optional. - Bid for sides. (Initial bidder is to be random, one of you just roll a die with a 50-50 shot of that player bidding first). Switch sides in ACTS if necessary. If you do switch sides yourselves, remember to LOG OUT of ACTS completely to avoid danger of drawing your opponent's cards. - Draw cards. CP will then kick off the fun by rolling the turn 1 MO and playing their first card. If you have any doubt, concern or other question about an opponent’s orders, then STOP and clarify before rolling dice or playing another card yourself. There is nothing worse than assuming something and later finding this was wrong. Full, explicit and clear instructions help alleviate problems, but remember that English is not everyone’s native tongue. The official launch date for this round is July 21 when Tom will send out a round robin to all but feel free to start your match immediately. This round is scheduled to complete on November 18, giving 120 days to complete which may seem a long time, but remember holidays, other real world events and technical problems may all slow your progress down. Please keep each other informed and if you will be offline for any extended periods, and if you fall behind schedule then some extra effort may be needed to catch up. The GMs all HATE to have to adjudicate unfinished games – but we will where necessary and a slow player will almost always be deemed to be the loser. Play well, keep up the pace and, above all, Have Fun! Paul |
