I'm not sure I have the stomach for a rematch anytime soon, certainly not before the end of my holiday... How about we agree to meet in the final? ;) I felt a bit hard done by by the combat rolls early on, but the late arrival of Falkenhayn provided a fair amount of compensation (and opportunity to entrench in Brussels). Did you consider delaying LW to end of turn 3 in order to have more ops to pummel France in turn 2 and be sure to get Falkenhayn in turn 3? I'm also curious what you made of the Italian front. This was the furthest I've been pushed back there. I was worried about you getting a stack of armies in Bologna to cut off overland access to southern Italy and hit Florence. I was relieved that the Italians survived despite the not-so-successful gamble of SRing BRcs to Venice instead of a BR army, and the repeated failed dig attempts in Florence. |
