Your count was incorrect by excess, not by default, so you had the clear perception that in the last round I was already at 18 points (without the three of Belgium) so even with the blockade with the three points of Belgium I would have won. If you weren't worried it was because you knew you skipped rape of belgium and that your count was wrong up. So let's say that if there was an attempt to confuse the opponent with an incorrect count it was definitely not on my part (I had completely skipped rape of belgium). Alright. From my point of view the win is contingent on my having an incorrect view of the score. There's plenty of ways I could go for a loose VP with my AR6 play if I know what's at stake. So it feels a bit similar to an OOS warning situation - sure you can win by exploiting your opponent's oversight, but somehow it leaves a bad taste. Nevertheless Jeff judged that it's in your hands so I accept your decision. You can inform him of the result. |

hi, I thought about our situation and what you say compared to the previous count does not seem influential to me. The victory point tally of the last round was correct (except for rape of belgium which I had completely forgotten) and so if anything the tally was already in excess from the last round. My strategy was exactly to get to 20 points for an automatic victory and allowing you to redo your last move could make me find myself completely unbalanced and even more exposed now that you know what you risk and turn a victory achieved into an uncertain outcome, exposing myself to the risk of reopening a closed game. For this reason I think it is correct that I apply the same judgment that I would give when seeing the thing from the outside and in this case I would say that the result is now acquired with a victory of the CP for automatic victory. I feel I must give the same judgment in our case. |
