Heh yes the number of times I have gotten a bad result because I accidentally missed part of the message when transcribing from ACTS is ... unfortunately high! Would have required 2 more ops to fix Sedan while still being able to hold it (move the half-dead army out and move a full one in from Metz -- otherwise a 7 result still perm elims), which might have been hard with everything else going on, but I know you spent ops moving stuff over toward Berlin that weren't 100% needed "immediately" so it's definitely plausible you could have held. |

that was my mistake and I never play such way. I was willing to play in a different way and I tried to crush the French front...yes that worked but I took too many risks and the mistake about Falkenhain without taking care of the war level was a catastrophe. Okay good game, Mauro! It was a pleasure and I enjoyed the "fast pace"! The dice rolls definitely favored me over all, of course. I think your first 3 turns went pretty well (totally safe for CP to take 3 turns in mobilization to use those good 4 cards). The part where it started to swing was when I managed to force you to play Falkenhayn for RPs during Limited War, delaying your Total War while I started getting all those 5 cards. |
