Yeah, got this reply from James Pei => Yes, it's a standard tactics now for the Union since like you said, Union cav comes back the next turn and Reb in 3 turns. Herman has answered this in the past on consim. He said Union actually had lots of cav around, just not formally organized like the CSA. So it's easy for the Union to re-designate and re-supply a cav brigade. But it still only has 2 cav brigades to work with til Sheridan arrives in 1864. Not sure if I agree about the accessment of Yankee Cav...but there it is. |

As it was explained to me, not the replacement cavbgd for the Gen was NOT killed. Interesting...will take Stoneman as one of the SPs attrited from Frederick. Pleas still with the AoPot. Yeah, doesn't work for the Rebs since they don't get their cavbgds back next season but 3 seasons later. Think I will float a question to "the Man" about that tactic. Strats comin up. |
