The weather for this last turn was moderate which means half movement. You moved the 8-4 three spaces to get to that 2nd attack. But, you still could have done the 3-1 and gotten the cavalry by just shifting your other 8-4 over and using the 3-8 leader Gustavus gotten a 1-2 to allow the cavalry attack. You don't have to redo, I'll grant you the cavalry and a good end to the game. You did much better this time. I would almost call this a draw compared to the other two games of Breitenfeld. No armies got demoralized and the battle grounds to a halt with darkness and both sides on the field. Nicely played! Final victory points: 151 for the Imperialist army 78 for the Swedes and Saxons Included in those totals were three Swede leaders killed or captured while the Imperialist didn't lose any this time. Looking forward to our next game. I'm almost finished with the basic rules of "The US Civil War" and I think it will be a good classic but I don't see many people playing it on ACTS. I still need to read more on the rules to Revolt in the East. Which game will follow Breitenfeld? |

Well, your 1-4 in the swamp escapes elimination. TN 12 Imperialist Combat Results: 1. 1st attack at 1212 against the disrupted [5] infantry in the marsh behind the stream by the 7-8 and 1-8 leader in 1312 and the 6-8 in 1313. 14 vs 5 defense halved down to 3 due to the marsh and then doubled behind the stream to 6 makes this 2:1. Die roll of 5 gives a dot for no effect. 2. 2nd attack at 1001 against the [2] disrupted Saxon cavalry by the 7-8 and 1-8 leader in 0901. 8 to 2 is 4:1. Die roll of 4 gives a Dd result which eliminates the disrupted defender.
