Hmmhmm, looking at the logs now I think the biggest issue at start was that I was able to keep you from forming the army with JJ + Stuart. The 2nd turn is tricky one. Especially if Union-player is aggressive and gets a good card or two. I think you should have planned a bit after my first campaign move on how to: a) reopen supply line b) keep me from cutting it again with next card. c) keep me from doing an attrition attack against your big stack to bring you below 5SPs. The biggest factor with cutting supply is that I prevent you from forming the army which wastes an action from CSA BUT also makes you do the work doing those attrition attacks with even 1-1 trades. Now that I kept you from getting that army, you couldnt bring more SPs to Richmond turn 3 (as you couldnt use the special Army-SR-moves) and you just couldnt fight against big 15SP-strong AoP. Converting VA immediately is of course nice though not the end of the world if you can bring enough pressure elsewhere to get good gains. Now though I got VA converted and also had pretty much attritioned you down to so few SPs so that you couldnt really put up a show turn 4 with Lee but rather needed to regroup and start gathering men to even try doing something. Thats little something that pops into my mind quickly hoh. And sure I can inform Stephane! |
