Ok, I could have bet I was right. But no. As usual, I understand each game a new rule or event. I think in 5 years I should be ok. My mistake come from my misunderstanding of english :-/ For me intervening space had to be the space were the battle happen (too close from french word "intervention"). It should be reword "going through" space ;-) I'll pickup my 2 last card and decide tomorrow what will be my play. |

Yes, Williamsburg is controlled by CSA on my map too. But I believe it is not a problem because the event specify the intervening space, where the battle will happen, not the space the interception troop move through. And the interception troop is a Corps, which could move through ennemy space. It is not a forbidden move. That is my understanding but I could be completely wrong. Let wait for answer from moderator. |

85 | 1/15/2023 2:34:00 PM | Fall 1861 | Union | Message |
Hanover, the intervening space, is friendly controlled. I would be surprised that a Corps could not move through enemy space (which would be allowed if I activate it directly) but I could misread the event. |

I don't see why Butler could not intercept. A troop lead by a general could move through enemy controlled space. It is a Corps movement and it is not forbidden. But it would not be the first time I misunderstood a rule or an event... I'll ask James. |

#3: 1 / Forward to Richmond Union may activate any Union army within 4 spaces of Richmond, VA. The army must enter Richmond or move as close to Richmond as possible, but may convert spaces to maintain an LOC. All SPs associated with the army must be moved (no dropping off SPs), except 1 SP may be left if the Army began its movement from a fort (if last SP, move completed). If played by the Confederate, he draws a card from the Union hand which is discarded, and the Union player follows the instructions of this card as his next card play. You’re right about USA reinforcement, my bad :-/ Add only 1sp to Jonesborrough (n1) USA general placement is good for me. It doesn’t matter a lot in this first turn of the game, but I believe that CSA should have indicate in which spaces CSA General will be placed before rolling for USA. Position of Banks is not a big deal for CSA, but Grant could be :-) That’s it for me today. |
