61 12/30/2022 5:23:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message Actually after making my move, I realize you might not have known your SP moving from Jackson could move up to 10 spaces via railroad spaces (you moved 7) because it was a Corps move. Feel free to redo it if you'd like.

Message from Union:
2 SPs move from Cincinnati to Vernon > Bloomington > Louisville > Lebanon > Bowling Green > Clarksville > Dover. The ungarrisoned fort is eliminated causing the Confederates to lose 1 SW (down to 93-) and the Union to gain 1 SW (up to 104+).

1 SP continues from Dover into Paducah. A. Johnston's force can attempt to intercept in Paducah; otherwise it is the Confederates' turn.
56 12/30/2022 1:24:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message Confederates lose 2 SW because J. Johnston isn’t the highest rated general on the map (from 96- down to 94-).

36 12/28/2022 1:29:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message Now on to your move!

A Johnston cannot pick up everyone in New Madrid, because he can only pick up a second general, therefore he must leave one general behind (your choice) alongside 1 SP because a general cannot be left by himself. Hence, Johnston +general TBNL +3 SPs attack Columbus. Same results, outcome but you had to leave a general and 1 SP back in New Madrid.
35 12/28/2022 1:25:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message The results are 1* to 1, but it is a tie because it is a resource/capital space and the Union cannot advance even though the Confederates were eliminated because of the fort.

So the onslaught crashed all the way up to Richmond's walls, but the fort's garrison held.

Richmond battle (small battle 3 SPs v 1 SP):

Confederates have a +4 drm (+2 fort, +2 OOS).
33 12/28/2022 1:20:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message Oops, that was a small battle, not a medium battle. Union wins 1* to 1 (rather than losing 2* to 3).

As per Rule 7.35, your two generals are put onto the Turn Track because your Corps was eliminated. And we do not lose the Elite Wilder's Brigade because we only lost 1 SP.

We attack Richmond even though we cannot technically win, but I might as well force you to lose another SP.

30 12/28/2022 1:05:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message The AotP loses 2 units and they lose the Elite Wilder's Brigade. The Confederates lose 2 units and must retreat, presumably to Hanover. The AotP had greater than 2-1, so they flag Fredericksburg, and attack Hanover.
29 12/28/2022 1:00:00 PM Spring 1861 Union Message Not so fast...

20 12/28/2022 8:49:00 AM Spring 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #105: 1 / Detached Cavalry
Played prior to a battle against an army possessing one or more cavalry brigades. The ONLY effects are the Army’s Commanding General’s battle rating (offense or defense) is immediately reduced by 2 and no Cavalry general’s battle ratings may be used in the battle. The effects end at the conclusion of the battle. Cavalry generals are not available for casualty determination. OR: Place one PC marker in any space within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single cavalry brigade. The four space range many not be traced through Northeast Alabama. The space may not contain an enemy SP or fort, but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes.
