#66: 1 / Wilson's Creek Either player may move up to two infantry SPs from the same space as if they were led by a General. This move is a Corps move and may enter enemy controlled spaces because the SPs are moving as if they are led by a general. Message from Confederate: A potentially nasty end of the turn. Having a campaign and this card make for a good Confederate start, even if the other cards were "1"s. One thing to consider for future play: taking Forts St. Philip/Jackson on the first card play is often done, and is a great start for the US. However, it can be dangerous if you have no other "3" cards or campaigns, because then you can't use AoP to respond to any Confederate attacks in the East (as happened here). It is often good (and fun!) to attack on different fronts as the US, but the main goal has to be to avoid defeat until Grant comes in on turn 7 to save the day. I have lost several games as the US by being too aggressive and then having multiple Confederate raids doom me in the end. Event: 1 SP from Richmond moves out as a corps move. 1) 1 SP to Hanover 2) to Fredericksburg 3) to Manassas 4) to Frederick 5) to Baltimore 6) to Annapolis Do you wish to attempt interception? |
