120 | 3/17/2024 11:40:00 PM | 1622-1623 | Catholic | Message |
As a result of the effective recruiting efforts by Wallenstein and Piccolomini, the Imperial army at Pilsen is increased in strength from 14 CFs to 21 CFs: 1 Vet; 3 Mercs; and 4 (Mercs). Thus, the losses from the defeat at Leipzig are made good within a matter of months, and the success of the Imperial recruiting efforts after the two recent major reverses demonstrates the potent allure of Imperial gold. |
119 | 3/17/2024 11:33:00 PM | 1622-1623 | Catholic | Message |
A correction: no Leader can recruit more than twice in a single impulse (the speech-making and paperwork are just too demanding!). So the third roll will be assigned to Piccolomini, who only has a +1 DRM, because he is also a dynamic leader. With that adjustment, the results are: 7+2 = 9 (Wallenstein) = 2 Steps = 1 f/s Merc 4+2 = 6 (Wallenstein) = 1 Step = 1 u/s (Merc) 4+2 = 6 (Piccolomini) = 1 Step = 1 u/s (Merc) So 1 Merc and 2 (Mercs) are added to the Imperial army at Pilsen. In addition, the Wallenstein marker is increased by +2 to 12 because he recruited two units. |

Yoshi: I'm just emerging from a very heavy period at work, including a couple of close to all-nighters. I should be in better shape to respond promptly going forward. The problem with the file was very odd. It duplicated your stacks. I would move a stack, and a copy of the stack would remain in place. When I checked stacks that had not moved, they were likewise doubled. I have never seen anything like this before. I deleted out the extras in the move file I sent you, but I'm still uneasy about it. Maybe we should just update one of the older move log files and then update that? |

You can remove up to 4 Pillage markers/levels, but only 1 level in any particular space. |

You've correctly calculated Wallenstein's current status on the GRT as a 5. Pillage Phase: I have no pillage locations that I can remove. I'll do a Pillage Recovery Phase roll for you, and you can decide where to remove the pillage markers as a result. I'll also go ahead and draw the cards. Once you remove your Pillage markers, we can commence turn 2. |

So at this point, we're ready to end Turn 1. |

To be precise, I have eliminated existing reduced strength mercenary unit. |

Hi Jeff, Hmmm, in the log file I sent earlier I have reduced one mercenary step and also placed pillage marker on Kasseg. I will send you that file again so you can check it. Then I will put a serial number on the log file to make it easier to mention it later. This time the file is 001. |

Yoshi, I may be missing something, but I didn't see any action on your move file. The result of your Pillage/Looting roll should have been to place a P1 marker on Kasseg and reduce one of your Merc units in Kasseg by 1 strep, either reducing a full-strength unit or eliminating an existing reduced strength unit. |

I'm not going to click on End Turn just in case you might discard. |

I have 13 FAPs. I pay for 4 mercenary units in Pressburg. then I pay two Veteran units in Kasseg. As a result, the five mercenary units in Kasseg are unpaid. |
