well, I don't like the fact that you know your hand before making any changes, and like I said, if we were still in the tournament, I would ask the GM to reset the deal. But, you should be able to redo your reinforcements and strategic rail (and you may want to wait for my reinforcements before your strat rail) after my last card play. |

Its got muddled because I played Cotton as King and didn't return it to my hand, so when you concluded your last move I thought we'd reached end of turn What do you want to do - I'm OK to simply do my turn with Cotton as King and you can play your last card, I think that will change PCs/Attrition/Reinforcements but I think that they can be sorted out |

Your most recent file has 7 in the Army of the Potomac and 2 SPs in Lynchburg (and 0 in Wytheville), which is exactly what I suggested in log 157, so we are in agreement. FWIW, both of our earlier files have 8 in the Army and 1 in Wytheville. Incidentally, I forgot to mention this. In your general reorganization, because the Army of the Potomac is on a small segment of four rail spaces disjoint from the rest of the rail network, generals moving to or from it are limited to 10 movement. This is not a problem for Burnside or Butler, but Banks may not move from Lynchburg to Cairo. Bloomington is 9 spaces away, so he can pretty much go from Bloomington to anywhere east of that. |

The file I sent (which we were supposedly in agreement) has 8 SPs in the Army and 1 in Wytheville, so you could definitely pick up only 1 in Wytheville and still attack with 7. Are you leaving 2 in the fort? Just for clarification, here are the other counts in that file: Potomac/Lynchburg 8 Wytheville 1 Charlottesville 2 (just eliminated) Strasburg 2 Franklin 1 Winchester and Staunton empty |

You should have 37 SPs (19 after attrition + 18 reinforcements). We are in agreement everywhere except for the size of the Army of the Potomac. You have one strategic rail move remaining. So, you can either reduce the Army to 7 or you can keep it at 8 and remove 1 SP anywhere else on the map. |

Except you chose to accept attrition in the original move as ordered. Even if the battle had been in Charlottesville as you assumed, there was nothing to prevent you from dropping SPs before the battle in Staunton such that you could setup for no attrition at the end of your move. This is about correcting your strategic rail because you're moving SPs that are not where you think they are. It is not to change a move that was otherwise legal but for the wrong battle location. If you want to drop an SP in Staunton, I'm ok with that because it was rather curious that you didn't do so in the first place in order to place control. But you should still incur the attrition. |

not sure what you're trying to accomplish here, but note that Bragg was in Staunton not Charlottesville which means you could attack in supply and still end your movement in Lynchburg as you had a favorable die roll, I see no problem with you deciding to revise your move including a re-roll of the battle with more favorable DRMs for you |
