Who exactly did the intercepting force consist of, being that you have options? Either Lee or Johnston can be the commanding general for the Corps, being they are both 8's. As per the Corps limitations, they can only take 1 general with them, so some combination of two generals must stay behind. I assume you used a Cavalry Brigade to get a +2 bonus on the interception attempt, which would mean either Lee or Johnston would remain in Culpeper along with a Cavalry Brigade. And since a space can support one more general than then number of SPs in a space, the Cavalry Brigade's SP should suffice. Therefore, you choice boils down to which general you wish to leave behind alongside which Cavalry Brigade, and the rest end up in Strasburg. The Union loses the battle 1-2 regardless of which generals you choose, so feel free to pick whatever combination you'd prefer. |
