In this current attack, I don't get the +2 for force ratio (8v3), so I am +6 rather than +8, and the Union is +4. That means I win Frederick 2*-1. I then flag Frederick and attack DC (7v5).

Union randomly discards a card (and follow this card's event instead). The AotM is the only Union army within 4 spaces, therefore they must attack Manassas (shortest path) on route to Richmond. The AotM can leave an SP in Frederick, but they don't have any chance of winning the Manassas battle, so it is moot.

The Manassas Battle would be a Medium Battle 6v6.
